first the ford never had a 40HP advantage, if they did ronnie shaver would still be building them and every top team out there would have them. second whats the big deal ? smoke got pissed chevy didn't make him a counter offer or the bowtie would still be at TSR. Roush is not what they were at one time and ford wanted another team. they got it in TSR and there fords are running up front every week or close to it. Roush for whatever reason lost all there A drivers. Money is probably the factor there, just guessing, and it shows in were the drivers finish every week. Smoke drops in for a 360 show and you can believe that it is a bowtie between the frame rails, and if ford wanted a 410 sprint motor why would clemens not build one. A cam swap and injection would get them going. His motors are making enough HP

Open Wheel quoted Shaver saying the Ford was making 817 when the best chev was 775 in 1994. I've never heard anyone else say Ronnie Shaver is dishonest.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint

the Ford Donny will be sporting isn't anything like the fords currently winning late models, nor the Ford sprint motors of years gone by. The new motor Donny will be sporting is all new from the ground up. Ford has cast its own block as well as the heads.
|
I doubt it will be much different than what RY put on the podium at the World Finals several years ago. The WoO sissys won't allow anything cooler. Considering its rubber down at Knoxville in the spring these days, probably for the best anyways.

I have never seen anyone say the Mopar is illegal. Unwanted without sponsorship money being included but not illegal.

You know Bloomquist runs both Andy Durham Fords and Chevys and has won with both this year.....
Don't know what he was running last night?

All Bloomer's wins have been Ford powered. He doesn't run a Chevy.

Lasoski just ran a Mopar at Jackson last week....
Listening to Donny Schatz earlier in the week he indicated that the Ford is all new, built from the ground up, but everything has to be approved by WoO piece by piece. The block is done (and I think he said approved), they are now working on the heads if I heard him correctly. He said it was a long process to get approvals, but it sounded like everyone at Ford and TSR were ok with that and knew that going in.

Correct. WoO will loose sleep making sure nothing is hardly any better than a 10 year old sbc.

I sure wish ASCS had done that when Roush/Yates wanted in the ASCS game.

Minthess. I believe your talking about the Ford in Dave Blaney's car correct ? I'll have hot sauce with my crow. I can say I do remember somewhat but that was many years ago.

Sounds as if Schatzee won't be running a Ford produced engine/motor in 2017 at all. Isn't that a little disengenous to call the car the Ford Performance # 15 night after night all year long, yet all the wins are with the same GM combination from Shaver he's always fhad. I don't mind a Johnson Ford or the Iowa Ford Dealers or a Peter Pan Ford dealer sponsoring a car no matter what is under the hood, but this is nutz what Ford Motor Company is doing. Other manufacturers might say, well, what the hell, lets pay to put KIA on Vettel's F1 car--forget what's powering it. 3/4 of the fans have no clue and obviously believe what they see, must be a Ford under the hood getting all those wins. It's like Ford having John Force make valve covers for his funny cars that said BOSS FORD on them and saying on national tv during an NHRA event last year that "Ford engineers tweeked the old style". I asked a couple crew chiefs and drivers around the pits at an NHRA event about his tv claim and they said what he runs had zero difference to the other funny cars and top fuel dragsters in NHRA. A Chrysler hemi is a Chrysler hemi.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Could be that Ford isn't actually paying out sponsorship $ to be featured on the 15 car and it's just part of their deal with TSR and their interests with Stewart-Haas. Or that they care more about reaching the average dirt track/racing fans who see the sponsorship as a mean's to push the brand (i.e. consumer cars/trucks) vs. us hardcore fans who immediately think 410 engine.

none of them are running a Chevy though either. Everything is aftermaket parts including the blocks, heads, cranks, pistons, etc., etc..
It's a bit disingenous to beleive everything is a Chevy as well right??
The only thing they've ever referred to Donny's Engine as is a Shaver Specialities. No matter who the sponsor was on the car....

Ford Performance currently offers the most dominant selection of engine parts in all of professional dirt track racing. These parts are not allowed to be used in WoO sprint car competition. People that love our sport to be far less than it could be are to blame not Ford Motor Company.

Just joking around, don't have to get so hostile...
But if you're right. Donnie's Ford will be ahead of Drumpf's returns, won't it?
I'll believe either when I see it...
