Could this be the new rivalry that the WoO's have been waiting for?

Let's hope so!   Gravel has surprised me this year.    I can't remember who was on the other threads predicting 15 wins this season for Gravel, but it seems like he could even exceed that.   I'm also excited about Schucart having three wins already.    There's obviously a ton of talent there too.

I made the prediction on here last fall.  I thought I was being a little optimistic---was just trying to point out how big I thought this year would be for him.  Now?   I agree with you--may be more than 15!  Don't know if my prediction for the championship will come true.  Even if it doesn't, I think he has proven a worthy adversary.  And an easy driver to like as well.

You were absolutely correct. I believe I replied to that post and slightly disagreed by saying I thought it was a bit of a stretch but that I did think he'd have a break out year. You never know, he may go into a slump and not win another one for the rest of the year but I'd say that's highly unlikely. You totally called it.

I remember your reply as well.  Time will tell.  As you said, he may not win again this season but I think he has serious momentum right now.  I am going to hit Knoxville (funds and weather permitting) when they come to town in a couple of weeks.  I would like to see how he stack up there.  He has been a little off come feature time at Knoxville so I would like to see how he does.

They're both on pace for 20+ wins. I don't remember the last time the WoO had 2 guys who won 20+.

Even if Gravel gets to 10, he's joining a very select group.

Who knows what total wins at end of season will be, but egras was certainly right that he's the new challenger, hope he keeps it up!

I'm happy to note that the  new up & coming drivers, Schuhart & Gravel, are both "East Coast guys".... I'll leave the whole "Posse" debate alone....Gravel is almost a homeboy for me, spent some time & had some adventures in Watertown over the years

By the way, FiXXXer, I met the guy ("Matt?"wink who climbed the fence at WG a few years ago. seemed like a perfectly nice guy (but then again, he was sober) He's a pretty big heavy guy, said fence was shaky going up....

Decided to skip Sunday'sPR  race cause of iffy weather report & headed up to Mom's....didn't want to hang around waiting for yes/no on precipitation. I got lucky. Mom's fine
