Did it rain out in Oshkosh and Cedar Lake? I live in Ohio... but I heard Oshkosh rained out on Friday, yet according to the IRA website Dollansky won both Friday and Saturday. A little help would be appriciated!

Oh boy, here we go!
Oshkosh- the track prep crew dumped too much water on a track that doesn't absorb it very well and they had to cancel after it became apparent they wouldn't get the show done before curfew and more showers in the area.
Cedar Lake- Parker Price Miller won.
Checking the IRA Facebook page to get updates if you are able.

I saw the highlights of the Late Model Feature and that was a good one as well. How were the Modifieds?

stan, mods weren't anything to write home about, had a field of 34 cars 4 heats 1 bmain, lucas schott started outside pole and walked away with the feature. a lot of good drivers though in all three classes. i was really impressed with the quality across the board for all three classes

The mentality and Oshkosh is that the street stock feature is equivalent to the Indy 500.
I saw the operator of the racetrack earlier in the day on that beautiful Friday afternoon. I told him that some pretty big names were supposed to show up(McCarl must have known better). He had no clue. He came into where I work to buy some bearings for the water truck.
Anyway we got there and I saw the track was torn up and i knew these geniuses did something brilliant. I asked someone what happened and he said "ya know the modified guys don't like a dry race track". I laughed and said who gives a shit about them? There was 24 total sprint cars with about 5 or 6 travelers. Without those guys there would have been 17 and Balog. Hmm, I wonder what would have happened. Well, those guys won't ever come back cuz they were pissed. They came a long ways to be part of what would have been a damn good race. Instead they came all that way for nothing because of idiots.
Its sad because pretty soon the IRA feature is gonna be a B main from the past.

I agree with one thing you said. Who cares what the Mods like, they are not the feature attraction of the evening. People are paying a higher entry fee to see the Sprint Cars. Pretty soon guys that run the fantabulous 4's are going to dictate racing surface. As far as your comment about the A being a B from the past. What do you expect them to do? I am sure Steve busts his ass trying to get guys to show up, maybe even making a few calls out there to get these travelers. I appreciate the efforts. I wish the car count was higher, as I am sure everyone does, but as long as they have a full A, I am happy. Lets just be glad that we have a class of Sprint Cars to go see. Otherwise we would be stuck like some areas of the country where fans get to see the Outlaws once or twice a year and that is it, without traveling 5 hours. We have it made here. Where I live, I am within 2 hours of 7 dirt tracks that the IRA race at. I'll take it....

You're right. We should be thankful. It's just unfortunate when stuff happens like on Friday. Feel bad for the fans who traveled far distances too.
im looking forward to All Star weekend coming up.

It was a raw deal. I am glad I decided to pass on that race. It's not the IRA's fault, and stuff happens. I think if that weather wasn't coming in, they would have worked the track in.
