There was no 69k mojo that caught Monteith. The 21 just had some lousey luck. A lapper spun right in front of him and Monteith just flat drilled him. He was checked out. He had almost a 5 second lead. Nothing but bad luck there for the 21.

I hated to see that happen. I'm a 69K fan and always will be but I like Brian too. He's as exciting as anyone out there and he's always a blast to watch. It seemed like last night, he was driving it extra hard. Perhaps he was driving a bit inspired by the comments of a fellow racer on Twitter the night before? Either way, I don't think Lance had anything for him especially if it stayed green. If there had been a restart, the 69K was rolling the middle real well as it usually does so maybe it would've been interesting but I still think the 21 had them covered. Unfortunately, shit luck intervened. Still glad to see Lance get another win. That team is amazing and it's an honor to be able to witness them make history.

There's only 1 major track in Central PA that the Dream Team has yet to win at, in fact, has yet to appear at, why?

Because they don't want to I would imagine. Only race they ran there last year they won so I doubt its a worry about being competitive.

Krietz hardly ever ran there when he was driving either. I think Dewease running there last year was one of the first times that car had graced the pits at the Fabulous in a long time.

Yeah, but if you take this year's win percentage, that would mean he only ran there 28 times in 30+ years . And, my guess is the majority of those 21 wins came when it was dry/slick - Donald is the master of dry/slick. Perhaps only Bobby Allen could ride the bottom better - and that is debatable.
And, I'm still stickin with the mojo - The Edge with a 5 second lead and running away, something crazy has got to happen and it did. I'm sure all on the 69K would have rather have finished second than see that happen.
How many times did Steve Kinser, Donnie Schatz, et al, look like they were going to finish second and then the mojo kicked-in? How many times did they win by leading the only lap that matters?
That's why the mojo is sorta like cheating.
Good owner/stuff, good driver, good people, and the mojo. Few can make it all happen year after year, some can make it happen for a season or two, some can make it happen for a month or two.
OK, I'm going to let this one fade away now.
Thanks

I guess it is my fault, but I was actually referring to Selinsgrove Speedway.

Yep. Think he ran 4th.
Edit: My recollection was incorrect. Went and searched, finished 13th.

Let me guess. Danny "The inbred outlaw" Deitrich said something derogatory about Brian on twitter.

There was a time that Donald ran a lot and ran everywhere, but in the last 8-10 years he was running, and running much more of a part time schedule, he basically ran WG every week, specials at PR and the Susky shows. Once in awhile he would show up at Hagerstown or PV or somewhere else. In the decade from 2005-2015 I bet you could count on your hands without running out of fingers, the number of times Krietz ran Lincoln.

He made his appearances at lincoln. Don likes the big tracks. He will flat out tell you as much. Lincoln, path valley, lernerville, mercer just not his style of track. DB sr has set ups for the big 1/2 mile tracks. I would have liked to have seen the team get laps at knoxville and take a run at the nationals. Going to knoxville just for the nationals most are fighting a uphill battle. Go ask Ricky warner and the 15 team they keep a log book for knoxville alone. And yes, many other tracks as well.

Davey and Lance have mentioned that IF they went to Knoxville, they would want to go out about a month early and run a few races prior to the Nationals.
I wish there were some kind of a GoFund69Knoxville type account. I feel like I NEED to do something to help them get out there for a month this summer and for me to sit here and do nothing is wrong. With the mojo they have now, 2017 seems like the year.....

He made some comments pertaining to the 21 team not leaving the porch as if its any of his damn business. Then as usual the next day he played the same old "I'm so misunderstood. I was just stirring the pot" card that he always plays when he has a few drinks and says a bunch of stupid shit. He's a hell of a driver. He's got incredible talent and some would argue that when it comes to sheer driving ability, he is the best pure driver in Central PA but his attitude leaves a lot to be desired. I wish he'd grow the hell up and quit making a fool of himself because I truly enjoy watching him race. He always puts on a show.

As you note Don Don and Ricky have at least 1 big three ring binder for each track they visit. Some, like Kville, are multiple books. Pretty cool to see the backlog and notes of a team that's been together this long.
