I think it is called marketing. With any new business venture, you have to spend (invest) money to make money. Jeremy works hard for our sport and I wish him well with Sprint Car Unlimited. If the sponsorship gets him new customers for the website, then it is money well spent.

Bingo! Jeremy does great stuff for the sport and this is a nice MARKETING move. He's most likely banking on gaining a certain % push in membership based off this venture and he should get a nice spike especially around Nats time. He should be able to get enough ROI and then some. If it's $50 / year he only needs 40 new members to cover this. Obviously that's breaking even but he'll get more than 40 new members on this venture and he's getting nice exposure for his brand.

I appreciate all the kind words. Being associated with the Nationals was a no brainer because of the marketing opportunity, but also because it gives a driver a shot at a pretty good check to sit on the pole. And since it's never been done, it made sense. Giving something back to drivers through Pennsylvania Speed Week - we are giving $250 to fast time each night - and an event like the Nationals is something I budgeted for at the start. Hopefully, it's a partnership that will continue for year's to come.
As for the site, it's doing well. There are over 120 stories on the site in three months and plenty more to come. Check it out. Thanks again.
