The WoO tour is very strong with the young talent that is out there following the series. I also feel TS all stars have a good crop of young guys, and your correct, david gravel has been up on the wheel and is giving the 15 crew a run. Go 1A.

Gravel is the next superstar. I'm not sure he'll be as good as Donny, but he's a 10-15 win per year guy in the future (maybe this year).

Sheldon is super impressive, 4 top 5's already is really good for a rookie on the tour. And it's not like he's got a lot of laps at these places.

The way David ran last summer, I made the prediction on here of 15+ wins and the championship.  He had a slow start the first 5 or 6 races.  Since then, he has more wins and points than Donny.  The wins will likely come but maybe not the championship just yet.  But the season is young and you never know.  ????  Definitely Donny's next big rival.

Slow start was due to losing 4 motors at Volusia.

The way he drove Tulare a few weeks back showed me he'll be even better than i thought.

Very true about Sheldon.  Having Bonzai in his corner does NOT hurt... that dude has been around the block once or twice!

Sheldon has really Wowwed me at how well he is doing already. I pretty much agree with everything people said above me.

As for the All stars, Caleb Helms is about to have a breakout season. He had solid runs down in Florida and won Attica (36 cars) opening night and Mansfield (27 cars) opening night. Those were his first two career 410 wins. I think he'll really push Kemenah for the ASCoC title this year.

Caleb Armstrong is someone else I believe can have a breakout season this year. As far as I know he's yet to notch a 410 winged win. Down at Florida he had a 5th, 22nd, and 7th place runs at Bubba and an 18th and 5th place at Volusia with the All stars. He's much improved from last year and seems to have recovered fully from that broken leg last year.

There is tons of young talent in the all stars this year. Stambaugh, TJ Michael, and Ryan Smith are also gonna be up there in points. I dunno how many you know much about "Mad Max" Max Stambaugh but he's pretty damned good. Finished runner up in points for NRA past two years and moving up the 410s full time thisyear for the first time racing with Ray Marshall Motorsports. As long as the car doesn't have too many hiccups he'll likely be the Rookie of the year in my opinion.

Don't forget about Brent Marks. He's got a ton of talent and a great attitude. He's obviously in for some hard knocks because being out on the road with the best in the business is a huge step from racing against local competition at the same 3 tracks all the time in Central PA but I look for him to steadily improve over the course of the year and perhaps even notch his first WoO win. I think Sheldon will definitely be the rookie of the year because he has a little more experience traveling plus Bonzai turning the wrenches but I think Brent will open some eyes. One thing's for sure, he will make a ton of new fans because he's about as nice of a guy as you will ever meet. We'll miss him here in PA but I'm glad to see him get off the porch and elevate his game to the next level.

He's not as young as the drivers listed above but I have to give some credit to Ian Madsen.  He's been fast all year and sits 4th in the WOO points. It'll be interesting to see if they stay on the road.

Ian's definitely looked good and consistent.  Before the season started they said they'd start the year with WoO and hit around 60ish WoO shows.  They'll be going back to the Midwest in a week and running a mix of Kville, WoO, some All Stars, 'big events" (i.e. King's Royal, etc.).  Schedule is on KCP Racing website.

As much as I'd say "maybe they're using this year to test the WoO waters (like Larson/Marks and Shane Stewart did a few years ago before jumping in) I'm not sure KCP wants to run the full tour given their sponsors are in Kville/Midwest and they can run an "outlaw" schedule and still hit big paying shows.  But who knows...

I'm not going to name any names because it's not meant as a personal attack but there are a couple young guns, one anyways that in my opinion don't belong out there. I understand the whole getting experience thing but you don't get much experience when you only qualify for 1-2 out of 10 A-Mains and it can't be good for the confidence or the family's wallet to be traveling 1000s of miles for absolutely nothing. To me it would be better to go run the ASCoC (or somewhere where you can get into the A every night)  for at least a year until you get good enough to at least qualify every night but what do I know.

And yes David Gravel is a phenomenal talent. Out of Conneticut. Who ever would have guessed that the next big WoO star would come out of Conneticut? Definitely not me lol

I assume I know who you're referring too and tbh he'd be right at the edge of making it in the show at most All Star events. But in my opinion if you really want to spend the money to do something it's your money not mine so I'm not gonna tell anyone what to do with it. Also gotta think a lot of people said similar things about Shark Racing when they started up, but they had Scruffy behind them to help them get competitive and some respect.

I guess the latest thing to do if your a low budget team not making the shows is to just go out and start a "go fund me" account.  I see that Clyde has now done this, but why not?  The shark racing team did it.

I just think that if you don't have the funding to even go up and down the road you have no business being out there.  Why play the poor me card and look for others to pay for your little adventure?

No problem at all with him/them being on the tour and doing their best to chase their dream, it isn't like they would put anyone else in the car so it's not keeping anyone out of a ride.  Good luck to them all!!  Go Haud.

You're right, and I don't have a problem with it either - It's their money that they have earned so they obviously have the right to do whatever they want with it. It's just my personal opinion that it would be much better spent elsewhere running the A every night and getting the team and driver to a point where they're ready to run the WoO. It can't be a cheap proposition dragging the crew and hauler from coast to coast just to sit in the stands and watch everyone else run the A every night.
