I don't know any info on it other than what it is just thought people would be interested. Sad to see the track isn't running this year even though I'm nowhere near the area. Please no bashing, tracks closing is exactly what we don't need. Below is the exact quote from their facebook page:

"201 Speedway Press Release

Sitka, Ky. (March 21, 2017)
201 Speedway Officials and Staff regret to announce that all scheduled events for the 2017 season have been suspended. Due to the recent circumstances beyond our control owner Jarrod Breeding and Staff have come to a hard decision to close the gates on the 2017 season. We know this announcement is not what the racing community wanted or needed to hear during a time when racing in the region has been on a downward spiral with the closing of several area tracks. Breeding and his Staff would like to sincerely thank all of 201 Fans, Car Owners, Drivers, Sponsors, and anyone who has been part of the 201 Family for their support over the past seasons. Breeding also says that 201 Speedway will be back to racing in the future and promises that when returning to racing the track will be better than ever with improvements made during this temporary setback. We ask for your prayers and understanding during this difficult time and hope to be back on the racing scene soon."

Sometimes I do wish it would be possible to hear what the uncontrollable situations are. Being a business owner all my life, I to, understand the struggles that many go thru. At times you fight and struggle to keep daily operations going because of the blood and sweat labor you have invested. Many tracks stay open because of the love of the sport the operators have. As a car owner, my tire bill was over 10K for 1 season, we destroyed 2 cars that minus moving some parts around and product sponsorship was another 40K in the hole. Tracks struggle as do many teams. Hopefully they can get threw there issue's resolved and come back stronger.

I'd saw their fb post as well. I was looking forward to the sprint show in may. It is a nice track wth some of the best motorcycle roads around. Let's hope they get their issues resolved.

Just read were the operation was closed due to tax issues and possible time away for some involved. Shame.
