it was one of those nights that all his stars were lined up nice on a beautiful Friday evening in Texas..
Love him or Hate him, he can drive but lots of stars lining up in his favor, also for Haud!!
late in Qualifying was very very important, starting on the pole for your heat race.dash on the pole and a main on the pole. With a track that really didn't have a whole heck a lot of passing. ..When ever it was time to catch the rear of the field their was a caution.
I know It's not going to be be the last of his win of the season but man does he have some good luck along with talent!
great job to Shane(was one who could pass) on passing so many cars and to Gravel for moving up in his heat race and A main finish..
As the night started I thought Paul was going to have a better finish but hey tomorrow is another day and another track!

The 15 team is making Shavers, or whoever is doing the Fords, job harder every week.

LOL!! Gravel started 3rd and finished 3rd in his heat. Started 7th and finished 5th in the feature. By Florida arithmetic, that should give him the big gator award again for the night, huh? Schatz won everything but probably got docked points for having the wrong color wheels or something. (Insert sarcasm here)

WRONG!! try again buddy.... know your facts before you talk out of your A££.
He qualified 13 so do the math... Where did he start in the heat race???
Him Winning the Gator is his fault. Not his doing if the points system is wrong in your eyes.. it's pretty respectable that he blew up 4 motors and was still that consistent to be able to get the gator. Talk to the outlaws about the point system!

Of course!!! 3 wins, a second place finish and a 14th is in no way deserving of the title. I totally get it. What was I thinking? Especially after starting 17th and winning the final night! Gravel is a much better qualifier and can go very fast by himself for 2 laps. Get back to me the next time he starts outside the top 15 and RACES his way to the front.

It's not what I was arguing at all!
you have turned this thread into something that it's not MEANT to be. Why are you even on the topic of Gravel , is it that we repeatedly here that he IS THE NEXT BIG THING IN SPRINT CAR RACING. I make one small mention of him and Shane and you run with it..
You are blaming David for Something he had no comtroll over.. the points! . That team had no idea that on the final night that they were in contention to win the gator. In my eyes in interviews and photos Gravel did not look as hap happy when he was given the Gator. Gravel is a gasser he wanted the win not the Gator,So go stroke your little thing! or continue to collect your checks from Donny Schatz Program!

Little edgy today, aren't we? No need to get all riled up. The next big thing? Who said that? There are many up and comers, many established veterans and many good shoes in general. Congrats to Gravel on his charge from 7th to 5th last night.

Not edgy at all dealing with just an key board idiot who likes to start crap stroking his little worm... have a pleasant evening. I am sure that your Don Don will win again tonight so let me congratulate you on this .Because in your eyes their are no other Great Sprint Car Drivers. Can't wait to see Johnson in victory along with Sweet and Haud and the rest of the guys in your eyes that don't deserve it.

He'll beat everyone's asses like he has been for the last decade. I don't see them putting anything under the hood that isn't up to their very high standards

Hey stroker, cut J&J some slack. If you don't know who said Gravel is the next big thing, you weren't on the forums the entire summer of '16.
And, all he did was congratulate him. You act like he wrote the points system.

Not sure where I ever said the other guys don't deserve it? I did say there are a lot of great drivers out there though. I never insulted you or stooped to name calling. I just thought it was kind of funny how you said "the stars lined up" Friday night like it was a fluke. I have no problem with any of the drivers out there like you said I do. I even congratulated Gravel. And in reference to keyboard commando, isn't everyone on here one?

Good for Gravel he's proved he can be the fastest car on the track when he's the only one out there...

well i guess we are in another "era of anyone but " who do want to win anyone but kinser..... anyone but sammy.... anyone but wolfie now we got anyone but schatz. hope we don't turn sprint car racing into nascar crap where everyone is the same the new IROC sprint car series. i think it is great to have someone like schatz now everyone has something to shoot for . if you can beat him you know that your team is going in the right direction and the more teams that can beat him makes for great racing.

Of course...Why in the world would he change engines in the middle of a winning streak?
Not happening.....
