Its an amazing High Enad Facility everything about the place ia A1. We raced there & I was very impressed also theres lots of other stuff to see in the area Casino, Frontier Museum, etc etc . I'm always a fan of the Trophy Cup at Tulare. Three day show, inverted field, some good fan activities during the day and after the races and in 23 years only one day has been a rain out. Almost never disappoints.

Do Indiana Sprint Week, I doubt you will see a bad show and you will come away almost wishing you hadn't because a winged show will have to be awful good to top most of those....
|
Agreed. Attended the first two shows last year, Gas City, and Kokomo, and I am hooked. I would much rather attend thse races than an Outlaw race on my home track.

If you can do an entire week, my suggestion would be Eagle June 13, River Cities June 16, Red River Valley June 17, and Granite City June 20. I've seen racing at over 350 tracks, and River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND is my all time favorite. Eagle is in my top 5, and Granite City has been entertaining. Not sure what to expect from Red River Valley--we haven't been there in awhile, and have only run a time or two on the shortened version. But it's a very nice facility, and I look forward to good things.

There's always the World Finals in Charlotte. Just expect to be outnumbered by late model fans.

WoO June 13th at Eagle Raceway, Eagle Nebraska.

I have to agree with Deet.
If you've never seen the Outlaws hauling ass around the high-banked "Fastest 1/3 Mile in the world" then you really need to!!!
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Iron 55 at Pevely. There is no question. Power I midgets will be there with them. I prefer this track over any I have ever visited.

This gets my vote. One of the best shows I've been to.
Bring back Santa Fe, and LaSalle .

For racing that is part of the WOO, the IronMan at I-55 should be high on your list.
If you are willing to look at other sanctions: I would recommend the Tri-City/I-55 USAC weekend in May. USAC sprints and USAC midgets Friday night at Tri-City and USAC sprints at I-55. You could do both comfotrably from one hotel room.
Belleville Midget Nationals in August should be on everyone's bucket list. The speeds in those cars are insane.
I would also agree with the Indiana Sprint week that was mentioned above, but also look at the Indiana Midget week. At most of the midget weeks, 410 sprints are the support class.
Finally, Ventura Raceway in California is also a bucket list track. Watching the waves from the ocean hit the beach in between the races is amazing.
|
After I read this I thought it sounded like a great idea. Then I looked at the schedules and they aren't there the same weekend this year. USAC will be running both tracks that weekend though so maybe it would still be a nice trip.
Bring back Santa Fe, and LaSalle .

Johnny, I live near Joliet and see the Outlaws are coming back this year. I heard they shortened the track, is there any truth to this ? I would think so since they will also be running midgets there for the first time in a long time. I know they used to pack that place when they would run concurrent with the NASCAR race and hope they have a good turnout so they continue to bring open wheel racing back to our area.

I really want to get to that one some time. Enjoyed POWRi at Belle Clair this past September.
Not sure if I can schedule it this year, who knows....

One night at "The Ditch" will be better than any 2 night race this year. Bank on it!
