As of yesterday, I am again the website editor of the track's website (www.KnoxvilleRaceway.com). I am in the process of updating much on the site, and if you could check your driver bios and give me any updated information (other than pictures, which I'm working on), that would be great! Click on your name on the website to find your driver bio if you don't know where to look...

Send the update info to me at [email protected]. Thanks!

Glad to see you got the job back, Bill!

In the Bruce era there were some negatives, and some positives, most notable among them, is his departure.

Happy Trails to the Texan.

"Super" Bruce Neimeth is no longer with the Knoxville Raceway. A going away party has been held, however he was not invited.

Hopefully, for the folks in Knoxville, it was an escorted trip out of town with a subtle reminder not to return, even as a paying customer. Congratulations to the folks in Iowa, your life has just become a little easier.

Harriet, I will raise my blue and white can to help with the party.

Ethel, how ya doin?

So is there anything missing or anything he bought that he took with him? Surely the ignorant cuss will stay away from dirt track racing (especially the sprint world) since he ought to know he isn't liked by alot of people. Hopefully he was shown the door and not leaving on his own accord.

Wish I could tell him or maybe he will read this little departure message, "Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!"

And please Bruce, if you are reading this, please don't go calling people to get my phone number like you did before when I bad mouthed you. I will hang up on you quicker than you can shake a gosh dern stick at.

Did he screw up the track surface at the Nats the last few years too???

They can raise the prices again for the Nationals, and it wont bother me. My Knoxville room mates and I decided this year after the A- main on Saturday night that it wasnt worth coming back to next year. They want to come and do Indiana Sprintweek instead. I'll just find some other races that will fill the void somewhere else along the line.

Knoxville Raceway must have heard beforehand that I wasnt planning on coming back next year, as I never got any renewal notice in the mail. I was hoping to get that,so I could send it back in with a note explaining that I would be back when the racing is better.

Yeah I know. That late model racing is for the devil. The 3 and 4 wide racing the whole weekend about made me want to puke and the 14,000 fans in the stands on Saturday night weren't enough. On top of that the three cautions in the 100 lap feature was about all I could handle. And to finish it off the lead changes between the top four guys was more than I could handle.

Get over the whole late model/sprint thing. They're both good racing and guess what....it won't ruin Knoxville to have the high paying late model show at the end of the year.

Variety is the spice of life

You're right, it was good racing this past weekend but, unfortunately, you have some clowns that can't get past having something other than sprint cars on that track. These are the people that will, in time, kill the track's weekly show. And, then they won't be able to figure why it happened. All they really need to know is that there are more than one type of cars that can put on good races on dirt and if they don't like it, they don't have to attend those shows. But quit the damm bitchin about it.

The Harris Clash is one of the better races you can go to at the track.

And god forbid but when you take the wings off the sprints they put on a helluva show there as well.

I like seeing anything race on dirt. It's just better racing.

Ethel,

All is well as far as I know. At least that's what they keep telling me. Wish you were coming down in January. Keep up the good work on the car and congrats for a really good season.

I heard it was a good race at Knoxville last weekend. Mmmm Hmmmm Yea!!!!!

I will always love Knoxville! But only when there are Sprint Cars on it, Period. I can watch a good Late Model show (which I have not done for many years now) every weekend 20 minutes from home. If my local track ran a weekly Sprintcar show with 410s & 360s like Knoxville then I probably never go to Knoxville accept for the Nationals or for big venues. As long as they run the Sprintcars at Knoxville I will still travel the 240 miles round trip to watch them every weekend I am able to (which is most of them).

I can't explain to you why I don't like the other types of dirt racing (accept for Motorcycle flat track). Personally I find it boring (even the Late Models) Until I discovered what Knoxville & Sprintcars were back in 1989, I was at our local Late Model, Modified & Bomber class religiously on a weekly basis. Now you could wave the admission and I would not go.

See what you started here Bill!!!!! :-)

This wasn't intended as a Bruce Bashing session, or a late model/sprint debate, but that's the way the board goes sometimes, I guess. Don, I think you'll like the broadcast next Friday. I think it turned out pretty good.

Knoxville Drivers/Owners, I've heard from a few. If you didn't receive an e-mail from me this week, that means I don't have your address, or the one I had was outdated. If you can shoot me your e-mail at [email protected], I'd appreciate it, thanks...
