Hello Pa Posse members,
The Lincoln Speedway's 11-Mar event is scheduled as " 410 Sprints plus open practice session for other divisions". I will be in the area on this weekend and plan to attend the event. What is the epxected duration of this show?
I have other commitments, and the "open practice" will extend the show, thus need to plan my stay at Lincoln.
Thanks in advance for your input.

The daytime shows are typically run fairly quickly, about 2-2 1/2 hours. Weather plays a part, if it's 40 degrees and blowing they run it quicker than if it's 60 degrees and sunny. I'd imagine open practice will be run either during the down time of a one division 410 show (between heats and B main, or between B and A); or after the 410 show entirely. I wouldn't expect it to impact the actual race time.

You are correct. All practice for other divisons starts after the 410 show is complete.

Port Royal runs that evening at 5PM, so a few cars will try to get to Port as well.

It looks like the Grove opens up the 12th, so a fella could catch 3 shows in 2 days if he drove to PA, right?

That reminds me of when Kevin Gobrecht won three shows (Port, Lincoln, Grove) within 24 hours in 1999. That Zemco #1 was on fire that year - Gobrecht and then Shepard.

With a 410 sprints only program and most likely cool weather, Lincoln will most likely have the show down in 1.5 hours, 2 hours TOPS. And the fact Port races, will only help speed up the show if any drivers plan on the double.
