Who is your pick to play in the Stanley cup finals this year?

I'm sure the fuck off part was not meant as what he tells the kids, but in seeing that you replied with that and thought you were clever.  Ha Ha.... I have met his kids, and they are really good kids so thanks for asking. That is not why I am here.  My picks for the Stanley Cup are of course, the almighty Chicago Blackhawks, and I'd like to see some new blood and see Columbus make it.   What's a Husets?   (sarcasm, for those with their undies in a bunch)

Let me clarify......Won't accept my children telling someone that.  My kids say that and I hear about it, they won't have a social life for two months!   That comment is for their adult years when they have to deal with people that get their undies in a bunch over a little fun and discussion like Maddog eluded to.   Why does everyone care so damned much that we, sprint car fans, talk about other interests?  What dry, boring lives do we lead if we can't engage in other topics?   If u bring up basket weaving, bed bath and beyond, or figure skating, I am going to skip to the next topic.  If u like those things, by all means, discuss away!  Doesn't hurt me.

As for sticking to the topic--Badlands--i started the f#@$&ng thread so I will talk about if I want to.

One of the Coolest Guys in racing has purchased Husests,and im so happy for the Souix Falls guys.But Brennan paid all his bills made it a Better Racetrack and came out with a nice Profit Everyone Wins.

So who is one of the coolest guys in racing? 

Chuck Brennan actually bought Husets in 2015. Badlands is now the name of the track. 

Officially the track has no name until a new owner purchases it and gives it one. Hell, it could become HARRY'S SPEEDWAY. So Badlands, Husets, to each his own at this time when referring to Husets.

So; IF the track has actually been sold, and IF they do go back to racing on Sundays, that means that all of the dozens of extra cars that certain people on here (whose only interest was a purely selfish one) predicted would make the 3 track tour every weekend will actually do so, RIGHT?????

Sounds like nothing has been sold, just 2 deals are currently on the table. Until anything is signed and people are able to start scheduling races it appears that Brennan still currently owns it. It is a lot better than what I initially thought when I heard he was selling it with a near 10million dollar asking price. Article from the link (copy and paste sorry could not do it properly) states he has had dozens of offers with 2 on the table. 

At this point who knows how long the negotiation phase goes and if the new owners can get a schedule to happen. Should be enough time. Maybe they do go back to sunday night but if they continue to do Saturday I will say it will be without a lot of the B.S that went on in the past year such as tweets talking about how many cars you had versus the other track 4hrs away from you and the other stuff. I think both tracks can exist running on the same night, happens around the country all the time, you just will not have someone trying to make it a competition rather than cooperation.

No. Too low for the payday loan industry. Not even a bank would take that deal.

There ya go! Blow it all out of proportion! Nobody expected "dozens" of extra cars and you know it! And I think the selfishness was actually reversed from what you are insinuating. Only one fact was reality with the racing schedule as it was last year. The top 10-12 drivers in the three track area were divided and did not have the CHOICE to run all three tracks! Plus, not having three nights as an option did not and would not attract new drivers to the area. So of those that are in the area, some may have done so regularly, and some occasionally, and yeh some not at all. And if there is a new owner, and Husets stays on Saturday night, the same situatiion will probably exist. Of course it really doesnt matter to Eagle. Eagle's future doesn't hinge on the strength of 410 racing in the Midwest anyway!  Right?

I would like to take time to squelch a rumor that is going around about a potential buyer for Huset's Speedway. NOTEBOOM IMPLEMENT IS NOT BUYING HUSET'S SPEEDWAY.

I have a good friend that works for Noteboom's in Corsica and I was texting back and forth a couple weeks ago with someone I thought was him. I have 2 people in my contact list that have the same nickname and I thought is was my friend at Noteboom. He asked me who was buying Huset's and I told him, jokingly, Da...n Noteboom, his boss.

Come to find out, it was the other person in my contacts that I was talking to that IS in racing. By the time I figured out who I was ACTUALLY texting with, it was too late and the rumor mill hit full speed.

I do the radio and television commercials for the Noteboom family and their 8 John Deere dealerships in South Dakota and Iowa and have known the family for close to 25 years. THEY ARE NOT BUYING HUSET'S!!!! Although they enjoy their name being spread around like wildfire and the fact their website hits have hit an all time high, they are not buying Huset's.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

as much as I agree that he lost  money in year one with the racetrack, I will never believe that he put it for sale because he lost money On the racetrack in year one.   I agree the pawnshop was never busy. I also agree that the parking lot was full when concerts were in session.  But how do you know that he didn't make enough money on those concerts to justify an empty parking lot during the week? 

*my opinion----- The vote is exactly why he is selling everything.
