Just wondering if anyone has heard anything for 2017 at Pat Valley ,on their page they dont mention any sprint car races yet but they do have Late Model Speedweek and other races listed.
The Rahmer Promotions Page still has the add for last years Micro Race in September ,no news about any races or any news on the boys or Stevie?

Just get your chinese ice skates ready.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

And where the blade meets the ice, a Chinese ice skate is still an ice skate....

I think we can all agree that some proper track prep would make the sprint car shows at Path Valley much better. At least last time they got half of the track right. Turns 3 & 4 were garbage but 1 & 2 were absolutely perfect. If they can get the whole thing right, I think we'd see some of the best racing Central Pa has to offer.

I've always enjoyed it, competitive every time I've gone (Pa. Speedweek & USAC/ARDC midgets last few years)

The track for the ARDC midgets was good. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it. It's always been on of my favorite tracks. The track surfaces for all of the sprint shows (since they started having them again in 2012) haven't been real good. I don't know if you saw any of the 410 shows back in the 90's or not but back then, they actually gave the surface proper moisture and it was light years better. In fact many folks back in those days would argue that Path Valley had the best track surface in all of Pa and I'd be inclined to believe it because I don't remember going anywhere that was better back then. Hope you're having a Merry Christmas along with everyone else on this board.

Thanks, Merry Christmas to you too!
Hadn't "rediscovered " sprint car racing yet back in the 90s
I think I've been to all the Speedweek races at Path in the past few years, & I'm far from an expert on track prep (in fact, I'm still trying to figure it out) Maybe all the Path races I've seen were competitive because track is so small & leaders come into lapped traffic pretty quick? I seem to remember Brady Bacon coming from fairly far back for his win, fergit the details

Correct. The small size of the track lends itself to close action so even with a shitty track surface, it's still good. Do yourself a favor and grab a video of one of the Path Valley shows from the 1990's from Sports Plus Video. You'll see exactly what I mean. The Path Valley you've seen is pretty good but its far from as good as good as it could be.
