Craig Dollansky, Brad Loyet and Kraig Kinser are currently in New Zealand for a three round international series. Round 1 was held tonight at Auckland's Western Springs Speedway. Team USA went up against Jamie McDonald, Michael Pickens and Daniel Thomas who represented New Zealand.
The teams contested two races over eight laps. The first race saw the New Zealanders take a one point advantage. However Team USA bounced back in the second race to win by three points to take an overall two point win. With Dollansky encountering mechanical issues, Loyet and Kinser stepped up for the Americans.
A 25-lap A-Main was also held which was won by New Zealand champion Jonathan Allard. The Californian native got by early race leader Brad Loyet and held off Kraig Kinser in the latter stages to take the win. New Zealand's Jamie Larsen completed a last corner pass on Loyet to round out the podium.
