Per Brad at IBRACN its pretty much a done deal except for finalizing the deal and announcing it! They will also compete for the 2017 World of Outlaws Championship! He also states they are bringing 4 of Roth Motorsports engines with them as Roth is cutting back drastically! Good luck to Joey and the MWR team!

Brad also states that Roth will continue "backing" Joey to some degree. Im assuming the motors he's giving the team is what he's backing which is still pretty cool!

If this come to fruition it'll be nice to see. I'm grateful to have owners that have fielded so many cars and drivers through out the years! How old is Roth. I've followed sprint car racing for a couple of decades now but have been oblivious to what Dennis Roth actually does? I thought maybe trucking?

Yes, lots and lots of beef cattle. Big time money in that and also breeding...
This move has been rumored on here for weeks. Someone last week (can't remember who, sorry) indicated there'd be backing from a Nascar driver too...I guessed Stenhouse and the user said yes. Not sure if that'll come to fruition or not.

Probably does have a pile of trucks what with moving those thousands of cattle back and forth but everyone certainly remembers Lasoski and the Beef Packers car and some of his fans wearing those goofy long-horns on their heads. A strong running car back then. Dennis Roth giving away $40,000 motors, you can bet he will have one of his company logos on the new Saldana ride---as any owner would want in return.

I remember that too! Stenhouse was really good friend of Bryan Clauson and wants to see the team strive! Good luck to the Matt Wood Racing team in 2017! Really pulling for them and the Destiny team. Paul and Joey were always my 2 favorite drivers!

I just hope this is a fully-funded WoO team with everything necessary to compete for wins and the championship. Don't want to see Joey take that "downhill" step so many drivers end up doing midway in their career or even late in their career when they lose a ride or two, then take what is available. Hopefully that's not the case. If Joey is happy about this new team and what they can give him to compete, then I'm happy about this new team. Best of luck Joey Saldana. Will be cheering you on in 2017! I know I still have the giant poster that you were handing out when driving the Stanton Mopar 75 car. I just can't find it. I'm getting old. You were a youngster back then.

This is from Joey's "official" JSR Twitter feed:
Will have news regarding our plans for 2017 . Tons of rumors and news flying around . Will have something for you soon.
From the rumors that are out there (all coming back to the 17w) it sounds as if they'll be a "fully-funded" ride as you note. Engines from Roth is a bigtime start. 17w has cars, hauler, etc. and throw in the rumored involvement of Stenhouse and that makes for what appears on paper as a well funded team. I think if Joey was in the "step down" mode he'd run All Stars and be home way more often. He has other businesses outside of racing too. Again, sounds as if this will be a nice ride. As far as competing for the Championship, probably not with Donny, Gravel, KKR, Stewie. Competing for Top 5 in points would be a realistic goal, with Top 3 in points as a "shoot for the moon" goal.
