Veteran Mabelvale Arkansas Driver Prepares for Sprint Car Bandits Series
Rockwall, TX (10/20/16) by DarinShort.com. 10 years after a grinding crash brought a halt to his successful sprint car career, former Short Track Nationals champion Pete Butler of Mabelvale, Arkansas is prepping for his return to sprint car racing.
Pete has been close to his return on two other occasions, but was hit once again by health woes putting a temporary end to that from happening.
Pete is teaming back up with Rodd Hanna (of www.AirPerformanceDFW.com in Rockwall, Texas) flanked by veteran driver Wayne Brown (AKA www.cwb15.com of Poetry, Texas) helping to wrench the car. This will span 21 years that the three have collaborated on the sprint car team.
Here's a picture, taken today, of the car loaded up at Air Performance on its way up to Pete's shop.
The intent is for the team to compete in the 2017 www.SprintCarBandits.com series.
More details will be released as plans are firmed up in the near future.

cool, have not heard his name in awhile, I remember he raced full time with the now defunct NCRA 410 series, even saw him win a race in Minot North Dakota, which was a long ways from his home state of Arkansas, he was just kid back then.
