I don't anything about their engine builder, but how about learning & experience?

How long did it take Schatz to win his first championship? I wonder about his first win too, you have lots of data....

• Scored three top-five finishes and 17 top-10 finishes in WoO.

• Earned the World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year.

• Won three WoO A-main events, earned 16 top-five finishes and 50 top-10 finishes.

• Swept the Western World Championship weekend at Manzanita Speedway near Phoenix.

• Won the season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.

• Won sixth consecutive features to start the World Series Sprintcars (WSS) campaign.

2000

• Finished 11th in World of Outlaws championship standings.

Thanks, good info

Logan is on a good path of improvement, seems to have skipped a grade this season....

I could give you about 430 reasons, but I wouldn't know where to start.

Logan has some horsepower, that's for sure. Problem is, the cars have been having issues staying on the track. That's gotten better lately, but to take the next step, they'll need to get alot better in 2017.

I think I recall hearing or reading that Bobby Allen's original plan for Logan and Jacob was to run with the Outlaws for three years and then decide what to do next. This is year three, has anyone heard what their thoughts are on potential plans for next year?

You may be right but I think I remember hearing (2) years was the plan.

As far as finding success lately.  Experience, experience, experience.  Plus talent (esp is Logan's case).  Plus, yes, new engines don't hurtwink

Search Dirt Show with host Klane Dushek.  I believe the station is KOWZ out of southern Minnesota.  His most recent interview was with Bobby Allen and the discussed this subject in detail.

That was funny, gave me a good chuckle!

I never even thought about teams still having 430's, do the WoO and ASCOC even pump the top three anymore?

IMO 410 ci limit is a stupid rule kept in place by the have's, because otherwise the have not's could pick-up some cheap HP with a stroker crank.

If the stupid 410 rule is in place because the "haves" are able to out spend on 410's, don't you think they would also then be able to out spend the "have nots" on the cheap HP engines, thus making them cheap no more?!

Logan said in the winners circle at Port that they had a new Don Ott ENGINE in this weekend ,maybe they got the one Stevie had last year . He definetly had something on Saturday for that kind of a beatdown.

In the first half of the season both cars were in the back part of the time trial rundown but since The Kings Royal that has all changed .

Good luck to both teams I remember Logans first big win in a 360 at Selinsgrove in a 360 knew he had what it takes.

You may be right, I always thought that a 410 raced/throttled much better than a 430 motor and that anyone who had $$$ to buy the latest and greatest head/injection combo would certainly set them on top of a super lightweight 410 rotating assembly.

It was my understanding that the bigger stroke crank with more cubes just helped the out dated stuff "handle" a little better down the straightaway but wasn't the ideal bullet, however I could be all wet on that.

First year out with WoO I believe Bobby said if they could make it to cali. With out any rain outs they would be good. I'm sure he called in a lot of favors or ious. that year and last.

Shark Racing has run both Ott and Newman engines throughout the year. I don't know what brand of engine Logan was running on Saturday at Port Royal, but they were both running Newman engines on Friday at Williams Grove. I strolled through the pits after the Open and was surprised that they were not running Otts. I had never heard of Newman race engines before.
