It also helps speed up the program if you don't run a B feature.

Absolutely agree.
Went to a weekly show in July and I am pretty sure we walked by Hy-Vee and 10:08pm. Thats awesome because its a 2 hour drive home.
The Thursday show getting over at 9:30pm was huge I thought. Kept everything on schedule and got everybody back to their hotels and campers by the time it broke loose.

most interesting tidbit for me is the Outlaws asked the track to "slow down" in June at the Outlaw show. Why? Those teams are more prepared, have fulltime crew guys and should have an advantage when things are sped up.
But, maybe that's why I don't attend as many WoO shows anymore. I have no interest in listening to sponsor plugs during a break or a "dash draw", I paid to see racing.

From the article: " If you ever have any ideas on how we can continue to improve in our race against the clock we are always open to suggestions". Answer to all tracks: Run the show the way you do when there's rain on the way and you're worried about not being able to make a buck if the rain shuts you down. Did you ever notice how the threat of rain makes the show run quicker everywhere.

There's a track in west Ohio that could stand to take a little glance into the mirror.

Got me to the bar in plenty of time. It kept raining and raining though, so we ended up walking back to the campsite at 2:15 in the rain anyways. Alas.

I'm all for the earlier start time in April as well. Well before then I'm ready to watch some racing but there is no reason to wait till the coldest part of the day to do so!

The Sprintacular concluded just before 10:30, even with 100+ sprinters. The four Crown might have been disastrous, but people shouldn't be led to think that every show lasts until 2 AM.

Kudos to Knoxville! Knoxville usually runs a clean show without a lot of messing around anyway, glad to see they are always looking to improve. Many times I feel like we as fans get punished by promoters keeping you there late to sell an extra burger and can of beer! This years Nationals was one of the best from a fans proospective, both racing and effeciency of the show was great!

We have one in Central Pa too. Despite the fact that Port Royal is probably all around the best track we have, they really need to learn to quit screwing around and run the damn race. They have gotten a bit better but they still have a ways to go. The almost never start on time, on many nights they run too many divisions and sometime Shane Armstrong's side show of school bus rides and T-shirt cannons goes a bit too far. Like I said, they have been getting better so hopefully they continue to improve.

They only last until 2am when I bring a friend or relative out for their first race.
