Congrats to Danny Deitrich for Susky win , some of best races this year have been at Susquehanna . Hope all is well with him from hard crash he took at Wms Grove tonight . A lot of hard crashes this year , maybe it's time to slow these cars or tracks down a bit ? .

The cars are no faster than they were 15 years ago..safety has come a long long way...
strapping jnto a 1000lb sprinter in 1999 was MUCH riskier than today and they went just as fast and faster
these guys are safer now than ever...
racing is dangerous...sprint car/midget racing is a little more dangerous due to how the driver is exposed...that is what needs addressed...but how? You ruin the tradition if you close in the cockpit...
racing is dangerous...that will never change..unfortunately
I liked Danny's VL speech on Thursday. Classy to dedicate it to Justin Snyder and the troops

Slowing the cars down is not the issue, the issue is how young guys coming up are racing. Their are exceptions of coarse - Little Fred and Brandon Rahmer seem very clean and responsible, but there are others that would run anything and everything over without a second thought. Kids are starting younger and they learn to beat and bang in smaller divisions where the consequences are much smaller. Yet when they get into bigger cars they still race with the beat and bang mentality.
They said Danny's deal Friday was a broken part so this is not the case there but really some of these younger guys have no fear and just about the same level of no respect for anyone on the track with them. In my opinion this is learned at a young age, not something they pick up racing a 358/410.
