Just got a call from Barry Grabel of OCRS and he wants to know how many of you guys would be willing to run a show at Enid Speedway? It would be a one day show on Saturday during there Winter Nationals. It would pay a thousand to win with 250 to start. You can post on here or e-mail me at [email protected]. He already has 12 cars from Tulsa and needs some of us to commit. OKC rules are OK Thanks, Mike Whitworth

It would be during Enids Winter Nationals, October 26-28. Last I talked too the promoter, he was looking at a Friday night or Saturday night show as the NCRA late models have the Saturday night and Sunday afternoon headline.
So it would be one of those two nights, on those dates.

What Barry told me we would be running with the NCRA Late Models on Saturday nite Oct. 27th. Its not a done deal yet. He is supposed to call me in the next couple of days and let us know for sure. He was just wanting an ideal who might show up. Enid is wanting at least 20 cars to show. I told him to count me and Cody in.

thats a fantastic idea. I might even skip the STN to see some good sprint and late model racin at Enid. I like that place. I don't know why.........maybe cause I enjoyed the ncra mod show up there. Considering I'm a sprint freak.......if I can go watch mod racin and like it.......it must be good.
Here's a thought.........take all the champ sprint drivers in the state. Why not give each of these guys a phone call and talk to em and find out if they will come race. Just the promoters callin em and doin their thing. It's not like there are 200 champ sprint drivers in the state. I'd think it was closer to about 70-80. And that way you wouldn;t have to hope to get the cars......you would have a real good idea of who and how many. Maybe even put an entry list on this forum. Grabel and co. are great promoters and if they were able to talk to the majority of the champ drivers I bet more would show up. If they race in Enid it needs to be good so that Enid will have OCRS back next year. And I'd love that because it's a short drive north from El Reno. For once Mike, JD, and James would all have much longer drives than me. That would rock.
But what a race that would be. Imagine 40-50 modifieds. a very very competitive field. Along with 30 or more or more bad ass late models.........and 30 if not more sprints. And also gettin a good laugh out of NCRA Late Model Comp. Director Mr. Smith (funny guy). Man..........I really would have to cancel my Little Rock reservations.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a
wouldchuck could chuck would
