HEROES SIGN AUTOGRAPHS – FANS URGED TO WEAR VINTAGE RACE CLOTHING SATURDAY AT PERRIS!

(Perris, CA, August 24, 2016) As well as all of the current stars of the USAC/CRA Amsoil Sprint Car Series on hand at Perris Auto Speedway for the “California Racer’s Hall of Fame Night” this Saturday, August 27th, a bevy of heroes from the past will be meeting fans and signing free autographs.  In addition to the USAC/CRA stars, The PAS Senior & Young Gun Sprint Cars and the beautiful vintage cars of the Western Racing Association will also be on hand.  Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 7:00.

The heroes of the past will be in the track sports bar before the races and possibly at intermission.  Among the stars signing will be 1986 & 1987 CRA champion Brad Noffsinger who is flying in from North Carolina, 5-time CRA champion Jimmy Oskie, 1985 CRA champion Eddie Wirth, 1999 Oval Nationals & 2004 SCRA champion Super Rickie Gaunt, National Midget Hall of Famer Wally Pankratz, Mike Sweeney, John Redican, Stan Atherton and more.

“We want the fans to show up early and bring their programs and old photos to get signed,” promoter Don Kazarian said.  “This is always a popular event and it is enjoyed by the adults and the kids.  In addition to posing for photos and signing autographs, the drivers will be sharing some great, fun stories of their racing days.”

Kazarian also wants to start a new tradition for the “California Racer’s Hall of Fame Night.”  He is urging all fans to wear vintage race wear.

“As we are honoring our heroes from previous years, I would like all fans who have it to wear their old race wear,” said Kazarian, who himself hopes to squeeze into one of the old family sprint car team uniforms from nearly 40-years-ago.  “We hope they bust out the old racing shirts, caps, jackets, pit uniforms or whatever.  It will be great to see a bunch of it out there as it has special meanings and great memories.  Hopefully we can start a new tradition and do it every year.”

Adult tickets for Saturday are $25.00.  Seniors 65 and older get in for $20.00.  Active military members with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 get in for just $5.00.  Children 5 and under are admitted free.  The event will not sell out and there will be plenty of tickets available for everyone at the ticket window on Saturday.

For patrons who wish to purchase tickets in advance, they can do so 24-hours a day by clicking on the following link http://bit.ly/2bzRg2x or by calling 1-800-595-4849.

Camping is available for $25.00 per night for all PAS events.  The campground opens at noon the day before each event.  Tailgating in the spectator parking lot will begin at 1:00 PM.
