I was looking over what this 26 year old accomplished and it is mind boggling. Tony Stewart is considered one of the greatest racers of all time (and rightfully so) but what Bryan accomplished is second to none. Here is a few things he achieved:

-3 Indy 500 starts. Led a total of 3 laps

-26 Xfinity series starts

-6 ARCA starts

-3 Indy series starts

-8 Indy Light starts

-2 Knoxville Nationals A Mains

-112 USAC wins (5th all time)

-9 USAC championships

-1 Chilli Bowl win

-3 Belleville wins (was leading his 4th)

-youngest to win a USAC sprint car feature

-youngest to sweep a USAC midget/sprint double header (Salem of all places)

-youngest to sweep Salem and Winchester

-2008 Nationwide Rookie of the year

-09 Indiana midget week champion

-2 Turkey Night Grand Prix wins

-2 Indiana Sprint week championships

-3 Western World Championships

-Won the pole for Little 500

This are just a few of the things that he accomplished. I was aware of how talented he was and that he had won in almost everything but this list is breathtaking. And he was on in his mid 20's. And the really cool part is, he was an even better person than he was a racer. There may never be another one like him. Thank you for all the memories and your contribution to motorsports. Mr Clauson, you left your mark on the sport. God speed! #parked it

One final thought, make your legacy live on, be an organ donor.

mind boggling indeed! And what's even more mind boggling is I didn't really know all this stuff - thanks Oppfan and thanks BC!

Ah, what might have been..........unfortunately, many of the truly great ones aren't here long enough....we only get a glimpse

I am actually hoping that the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inducts him this upcoming year. I know that there are several worthy drivers and mechanics that are still waiting but I do not think that there is any doubt in anyones mind that he is a hall of famer just with his short body of work and accomplishments. 9 USAC championships 112 feature wins (5th all time) being only 27 is astonishing. There are drivers that wish they had those numbers after a 25-30year career and there are probably Hall of Famers that wish they had those numbers.

I also hope that they do some sort of memorial race every year in Bryan's honor. I am sad I cannot go to Kokomo next week but if they have one next year I will re arrange my schedule so that I can make it no matter where it is. If they have a pay per view this year I'll pay for it weather it is 15, 20, 50+ dollars.

Obviously, when anyone loses their life in auto racing it's a tragedy, but part of what makes this an all-time tragedy are the stats listed above. He was just entering his prime, and already was close to several records. I think he would have moved to 410 winged sprints full time eventually, but crazy the stats he was putting up in the USAC world this year.

Wow.  Thanks.  Didn't realize all that either.  My goodness.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Seen this somewhere but he had 27 wins this year & they had that broke down into 410's, 360's winged & non wing.

Top 3 - 38%

Top 5 - 44%

Top 10 - 64% (I think)
