Anybody know how this works? Looks like 60 or 70 cars at a minimum, more if some of those without a chance decide to run and why not. Appreciate any info, thanks in advance....

They run a complete show. Time trials, heats,C,B and A features. Top 4 in the A Friday get into Saturday's A main spots 17/20. It's always a very good night of racing since they switched to this format!

Yep. Split TT, 6 Heats (4 Invert, Top 3 to A), C (if needed), (2) Bs and an A + World Challenge. Top 4 in A fill spots 17 - 20 in tmrw's A.

Two sets of qualifying, two sets of heats, C, two B's and a feature...top four make rows 9-10 of Saturday's A, 5th starts 11th in the B and on back...

I thought the guys that are already qualified for the B Saturday night have the oprion to give up their spot and run Friday night as well? That way they have a chance to still qualify for the A as well. Is that correct?

Thanks Everyone! Bill, I think that driver was Danny the Dude and it did not work out well for him, correct. Hope you're getting some rest this week Bill, or are you waiting until next week, lol. How's the weather forecast for later, anyone? Thanks all!!!

It was the Dude that attempted to make the A main by giving up his B Main spot.......backfired big time and I think he ended up back in the C Main for the finals. Also....I think they only get one lap for qualifying tonight. Rain 15% to 35% from noon today til 6:00PM....diminishing after 6:00Pm....down to 10% by 8:00 or so......that's according to The Weather Channel Who knows for sure when it's the weather?

I'd look for a late start and a late finish tonight with the weather but I think they are getting the show in for sure. Lots of good cars still looking to get in tonight!
Does anyone know if someone will choose to race again tonight? Rumors or confirmations? Also, when does the driver need to make up his mind on this? I'm guessing its whether he shows up for the pill draw or not but I also wouldnt be surprised if they required a little more heads up.

If my aging/fading memory is correct, I thought you had to let them know last night. Bill W. will know the answer....
Big gamble with the heavy hitters that are running already tonite, make the top 4 or start 11th in the B, ouch....

I don't think anyone took the gamble. This year is a loaded field for Friday. Saldana, Rico, Dude, Brown, Wolfe, Hodnett, etc...

How was the Friday a main lineup determined? Did drivers get points for time trials and heats and were lined up straight up?
