From what I understand, there is no coverage. Is this correct? Because no one in the world outside Oskaloosa cares about sprint car racing......

At least they could have radio coverage on KNIA for folks who can't go cause the live to far away.

It's been this way for the FRC since it started. I'm sure there will be people that put updates out on twitter, but I don't ever forsee a time when it will be broadcast so people can stay home or at the camper instead of driving to the track.
I'm not attending tonight, but have no issues with them running their event as they see fit.

I'm sure there will be some live video posted via Periscope or Facebook Live by some drunkards.

I had hoped that when McCarl signed with the NSL to co-sponsor the FRC that there would be a PPV for the event. But then again, when he signed with the NSL, the VERY NEXT DAY he announced his comittment to run Badlands full time. I guess that says a lot about who he is....screw the other guy, but use the other guy, I'm for myself. Not surprised he still won't allow any type of broadcast.

There are thousands of tracks across the US with no broadcasts either.... I have no problem with it...
A. Go to the track and enjoy the race OR
B. Watch social media and wait for the press release at the end of the night.
Its pretty simple to get. Terry and Lori work hard every year to get people to the track. Why then and turn around and throw that out the window bye allowing broadcasts? Good for them IMO

Hey blazer, if Tod is at the FRC you should have a good view through his belly button!
Is life that bad that you always have to piss and moan? I'm sure for Terry to get the house, boat, 100K and concert tickets, Chuck made him do it!

No one is allowed to broadcast the race

I watched all the heat races and mains last night via a couple streamers on the Periscope app. It was pretty good coverage as well. I've said it before and I will say it again, if promoters don't get with offering a stream themselves I can guarantee someone else will pick up the slack and broadcast it out for free. The genie is out of the bottle. It's a whole hell of a lot better to scoop up some cash than it is to give it away for free. I would've paid $10-15 to watch, not a penny more as it really wasn't very exciting with the exception of Rico in his heat. Instead I watched for free. I want promoters to make money so they need to get wise to the world of pay per view and make it somewhat economical. You'll get a decent return on that effort by reaching thousands more potential eyeballs than can possibly walk through the front gate. I'll be watching live races for free on Periscope just like I do every weekend until they wise up. Thecushion.com and Knoxville get it by providing great coverage and very reliable service.
Cheers!
