as i remember it probably 20 some years ago with the red flag out, Terry McCarl drove at least 1/2 lap around track at Knoville and crashed into Randy Smith in the Cahill car and took out front axel. Capitani banned him from track for I think 3 weeks. Terry then went to the board of directors and asked to be reinstated. They said no.
