Need more video like the 10 laps before. But by looking the old man in the 00 gave the kid in the 4s a lesson,
who has more controll of the line, the inside car or the outside car......... inside car had no respect for the outside car.

statler was a full back at some big college, should have been a punter...
but imo it looked like he hit a rut and up the hill he went...

That was a racing deal if I've ever seen one. Two guys racing hard and I think they both just kinda got into one another. The thing that shocks me is, incidents like this don't happen as often as they probably should which just goes to show the talent so many of these drivers have. Driving really fast cars without fenders on a bumpy dirt track, especially a bullring, has to be one of the hardest things there is to do. Such a small margin for error and things happen faster than any of us who have never turned a lap can even begin to comprehend.

I think you have it backwards. 4 (Kofoid) kept his line high in the cushion and 00 (Statler) came UP and crowded him. Racing deal, but Statler was either trying to make a point or "let the kid know I'm the veteran" type move (maybe he didn't like how close they were racing). Kind of looked like Statler knew he wouldn't clear Kofoid, who again controlled his line all the way through that lap, and crowded/slightly stuffed him...more "crowded" than "stuffed" though.

Racing deal,
I see it 180 from you, if you look at the track and the racing grooves the 4s went in to the turn well below the cushion and stayed well below the cushion the entire way through the corner.
I dont think Statler was trying to prove a point, the track was too fast, heavy, and bumpy. Im sure he knew it was going to be close but I see no intention at all.
being the second lap of a heat race, unless there are 50 cars and you are going to be in the C-main if you dont pass him, check up and slide him in 1and2 or get a good run on the outside.
Lesson to learn here RR wins 99.9% of the time, chalk another one up for RR.

Obviously the 00, can't believe anyone would even suggest otherwise. These cars don't have rear view mirrors. If you are the car doing the passing it's your job to make sure you have the car in front of you cleared before you slide up into their line. In this case he slid right up into the side of him. All the 4s did was hold his line around the top. The fact that it was a heat race makes it all the more ridiculous. In the good old days, this move would have warranted an ass beating in the pits or a retaliation the following week. Nowadays it's just a "racing deal" or a slide job gone bad.

00 car is at fault, he must have went to Sammy Swindells School of Sprint Racing.
First class - Crappy Sliders and Punting Drivers.
Second class - Talking Smack/Placing Blame on Punted Drivers.

Looked to me that the 00 car slid up twice....coming out of 2 and the same in 4....I agree that Statler should have known he wouldn't clear.....

Not gonna place any blame here, those things are hard to control but you know, if it had been Sammy in the 00, this thread probably would have 100 or so responses on here saying what a dirty bastard Sammy is.
And Ford is correct in saying most drivers are not gonna want to mess with Jason Statler. He is one big SOB.

I think Statler had little doubt he was going to clear, and he did. He drove away.
