typically this time of year there is much speculation with musical chairs, discussions of 2008 rules implications, etc ...have any of you WoO lovers heard this one?

rumor - select local cars may carry track transponders to verify the alleged accuracy of the WoO timing system.

Why would a local guy say he complains of alleged accuracy?

It's saying he complains of something working really well.

Would it not be alleged "inaccuracy"?

I f-ing LOVE the Posse. These guys take it to The Man every chance they get don't they? Classic. They ought to have a track official check the accuracy of Schatz's fuel cell while they are on a mission.

Man the WoO really are disorganized. To think they gave Schatz a transponder in May at the Grove that only got him 35th fastest time. He really was screwed that night.......... who won that race anyway?

not going to do much good if woo lies about the times of it's traveling cars now is it? and as the times pop up in real time for each car it is hard to mess with them. now i do not know if you can program a transponder to give a plus or minus reading as it passes the sensor. or program the system to lie for a certian transponder or set of transponders. the locals should put local transponders on woo cars if they want to police things. go ahead and put a local transponder on some local cars. all the woo has to  say is thier cars went faster. just food for thought. i am not saying anyone is messing with times. BUT out here in cali the tracks need to make sure they have thier crap together when it comes to sound meters. that is where things get wishy-washy.

p.s. the wording "alleged accuracy" is correct in that context.

Difference, we don't run our mouths about how 'we're' going to whoop their asses when they get here. Most of the WoO are our guys.

Wait a minute, didn't we go over this already??????

BRR with all due respect. make sure you don't put dem dere feets in your mouff. hope all the racin goes good at the grove. like i said. put local transponders on woo cars along with woo transponders. hell plaster the cars with futher muckin transponders if that's what it takes to satisfy the hill folk.

p.s. is mouff the correct spelling? i never was too good with ebonics or hillphonics.

thanks for reminding me, the Posse has 1 win in 2008 against the circus, Brian Leppo.

the Grove track record for 1 lap was set on a night where the track timing system was not used...and 8 cars had to take time twice before the times were "blessed" by the tower.

there are all kinds of reasons for the local teams to suspect funny business during these events, just attend and you will see the horse crap calls in action.

thank you. i will file this with the picture of the gunman on the grassy knoll and the demolition plans the government had for the twin towers on 911.

Now that is funny! I guess the paranoia is in the form of Schatz. It hasn't been this steep since Kinser in the 80's and 90's...

Leppo's going to win in 2008 too?

Reminder for those who hammer Knoxville locals:

14 Knoxville titles on the WoO tour

0 Williams Grove titles on the WoO tour
