I think Dewease is over-rated in your poll. If you want to compare your logic, Dobmier claimed 2 more wins this past weekend yet slipped 6 spots? Dewease runs 2 tracks and 2 tracks only. A fuel stop saved him otherwise he doesn't even win the final night with his small fuel cell strapped on. Not saying that Lance and crew aren't any good, I just think they are ranked too high compared to others that are out racing stiff comeptition night in and night out all over the country.

16 races, 8 wins, & he picks the bigger ones. Beat the Outlaws twice. I doubt if anyone in the USA can top that

I'm not a Dewease fan but you have got to be kidding. Once the cushion goes, the 69k is simply amazing everywhere they go most nights.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I can live with it. Grove is one of the crown jewels and he's been unbelievable there. It's always difficult to win multiple Speedweek shows and he won 3. The Outlaws haven't lost much this year and he's done it twice.

Geez, didn't realize running out of fuel was a disqualifier. For the record, Saldana ran out on the front stretch causing Marks to take evasive action resulting in contact with Ott bringing out the caution on the last lap.
While Lance is running a limited schedule, he has wins at 5 tracks; Williams Grove, Lincoln, Port Royal, Susquehanna, and Hagerstown, Md. That's 3 more than 2 tracks. He has 2 wins and a second in 3 races against the Outlaws and his 3 Speedweek wins came against fairly stiff competition including 6 drivers with outllaw wins on their resume ( Stevie Smith, Ryan Smith, Esh, Wolfe, Hodnett, and Tim Shaffer) as well as USAC champ Brian Clausen and Australian champ James McFadden. Granted Lance isn't running nationally, but he's still running against quality competition.
Whether Lance should or shouldn't be ranked 5th is subjective and open to discussion, but I'm thinking this group is using some basic criteria to base their rankings on. I enjoy reading the rankings and subsequent discussions they generate.

I checked... no
2 wins & a 2nd vs. Outlaws
Maybe he should be higher than #5, passed Pittman & Saldana for the recent win.....

I think DeWease is under-rated. He is the fastest car in PA and the rankings should have him at # 4 and Hodnett @ # 5. For some reason over the last month+ the 69k is winning and the 27 is following him when both are running at the end of a feature
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Using "subjective criteria" to make "objective decisions" is always hard and usually fails. Polls only matter to people who want them to be important. Relax and enjoy the racing and don't worry about who is number 1 or 100

Comparing Dobmier winning races against the stiff comepition River Cities and what Dewease has done is crazy. Dobmier is damn good but Dewease is driving one of the most dominate cars in the country.

All this stuff is crazy. Just like political polls you can make a case for anything if you twist the info the right way. I suspect Lance considers himself real lucky to be driving a car that Donnie and Davey are setting up. Look what he has looked like the last few years. You want to say Lance is better than Hodnett based on today. Are they different guys than they were when Lance didn't do well in the 27 and then Hodnett got in it and look what he has done. I would guess there are other drivers out there who would well in one of these cars and not the other because of many issues.

Lance couldn't get out of his own way the past few years. Put him in one of the best run, best prepared cars in the country, keep him on the porch and he's back showing everyone why he is a cinch for the Hall of Fame. Don't ever think winning locally is anyone near as tough as on the road, racing constantly against the best in the business with varying track conditions every night. Put this into it's proper perspective folks.....Ask Stevie or Greg how hard it is to win on the road and Stevie did lots of it, that will put it into a better perspective as well....

Agree 100 percent. The travel alone has to be tough. Unfortunately I see Paul McMahon in a similar situation Lance has been in the past few years. It's amazing what a quality car/crew can do for a drivers confidence/career!

Agreed, and Paul is one of the nicer guys on the tour, must be tough on him and his family. He will bounce back with the right ride (I hope), got lots left in the tank I think....

Couldn't agree more. Lance deserves all the credit he's getting as does the rest of the 69K team. Central Pa is certainly no walk in the park and to win the races he has against the WoO and during speedweek against that kind of local competition, is certainly deserving of the accolades they're recieving. But that doesn't mean that what they're doing is in any way comparable to doing it out on the road with the WoO. That's BY FAR the toughest gig in sprint car racing and anyone who argues that just flat out doesn't know what they hell they're talking about or they're high on that Posse Kool-Aid.....maybe both. If you want to know, just ask Lance himself. He's been off the porch enough to know how it is.

So Dobmier wins both Friday and Saturday and drops 6 spots that makes sense, plus don't know about River Cities, but I'm pretty sure Dewease doesn't crack the top 5 at BMS, as probably the same with Dobmier if out east. Bottom line dropping 6 spots is a joke!
