Jackson motorplex just stated they have bumped the purse to 10k to win tonight and 20k to win july 29th. Things are getting crazy in the midwest.

Hadn't heard that yet. I believe that all increases in purses is a good thing. But my opinion on that doesn't change ragardless of who sets the purse. I still believe that far too often purses are too top heavy. No one else needs to agree with my opinions and I understand that. But I do stay consistant with them.

big checkbooks here in the midwest. next year depending on what happens over the winter i would not be suprised to see more heavy hitters spend a month or more in the midwest chasing the $$$$$ i cant remeber a year prior where you had multiple outsiders like we've had this year. i know in the past we've always had that 1 car from the east coast that spent time in the midwest but not multiple cars like this year. we just have to hope the blank checks keep coming!

I'd say that ends the debate that TMAC isn't on Chucks payroll.

Cool to hear! While good for the fans, could more travelers staying home or relocated big money teams next year actually be hard on the little guys in the long run? Time will tell. Month of money to a whole new level.

Not 100% sure but I was told that 2nd place on the 29th for the Barb Wiscus memorial also pays $10,000. can someone else check and confirm this? Glen Murra

Smart move by T mac. Not showing up for big paying races. Then listen to him howl when these big money shows go away. Only caring about putting money in his pocket, even if it to not race, only benefits him & not the sport. Money now and less money & fewer tracks to race at in the future.
Won't race at the track Tod owns but welcomes his help at Osky to help car count & ticket sales!

I would think everybody was happy to see Zomer there. And why not? Hes a good racer and has a good car with a sponsor that has spent time and money on the sport. Why would you assume that anybody is bitching about him being at Jackson?

I think 3togo meant why weren't people bitching before about Zomer NOT being at Jackson....

My bad....I misunderstood. If I'm not mistaken, Zomer felt as though he got a bad call last year and therefore had stayed away. He's totally within himself to see things as he sees them and to feel the way he sees fit, and act accordingly. Regardless of what was, and only he knows.....I was glad to see him there and I'm sure plenty were. I hope he makes it back again!

Zomer stayed away because he's a driver who doesn't make those decisions. Zomer stayed away because Tod told the team manager and team owner &€{¥{%|##|€----------£{£##££¥!!@@-&:!;!??:$: with some other stuff added. Surprised they would ever support his track. But maybe they worked it out finally.
you sure sound alot friendlier lately
