It's been discussed here ad nauseum. He's taking (at least) the year off. Wokring at his family scrap business this year. No idea what the future holds or if he's "done." Ran a family car last year with All Stars. So maybe he's regrouping to get in a better fiscal position or maybe he just has/had other interests (family business) that he's exploring. Only time will tell.

The scrap business is down and has been for some time. I don't know if the family business supported his racing efforts, if so, that explaines why he is selling out.

All the money has dried up in PA.
No more quality rides, and I guess even Joe can't financially justify keeping a ride together for him.
