TULSA, Okla. (July 19, 2016) - The Sooner Late Model Series will venture into western Oklahoma for the first time with a stop at Longdale Speedway on Saturday night.
It will be the the seventh event of the season for the series that has seen five different winners in six races.
Jay Sale, who won on May 20 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, became the first repeat winner of the season with his victory last Saturday at Brill’s Motor Speedway in Meeker. Kip Hughes, Randy Timms, Damian Patocha and Eddie Martin have picked up victories so far this season.
Mark Harrison continues to lead the point standings on the strength of six top five finishes as he has yet to win a Sooner Late Model Series event. Eddie Martin is holding down second in points just 30 points ahead of two-time winner Sale. Dalton Ragsdale sits in fourth while Jason Redman has climbed into fifth after finishing fourth on Brill’s Motor Speedway last Saturday. Both Ragsdale and Redman are still looking for their first wins.
