4th LoneStar $UMMER $IZZLER & WINGED MOD SHOOTOUT - Saturday JULY 23

The 4th Annual LoneStar $ummer $izzler, held on Saturday July 23rd, will feature $1,200 to win in the high powered LoneStar Modifieds, a stout $600 to win for the Limited Modifieds, plus $400 to win in the Factory Stocks. Plus, fans will be treated to the TWMA vs. A-L-T Winged Modified Shootout. The new FWD 4-Cylinders will round out the 5-division racing program. The event will be held at LoneStar Speedway (LSS), located near Kilgore TX, right off of I-20 and Exit 583 (then 1/2 mile north and 1 mile east).
Race fans can take in this huge night of racing for just $15 adult general grandstand admission (ages 12-64). Kids ages 6-11 are $5, while Seniors and Military are $12. All pit passes for all ages remain at $30.
The $ummer $izzler Modified feature is a bumped up purse for the division, with no added entry fee or added pit passes. This event always brings a strong contingent of Modified teams from across the area, and their feature race payback is as follows: $1,200 - $600 - $500 - $400 - $300 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100...to start. There is no entry fee. Any Modified non-qualifier/non-starter will receive $50. Mufflers are not required at LSS. The Modified feature is 25 laps.
LSS makes a perfect 'battle ground' for the Texas Winged Modified Association vs. Ark-La-Tex Winged Modified Shootout. This match-up was originally scheduled for LSS on April 9th but succumbed to weather, so we're really looking forward to seeing the two groups spar on the LSS high-banks. Complete purse breakdown and rules are posted at their respective series websites (located near the bottom of this press release).
Fans can expect a great matchup of Winged Modified drivers such as Steve Adrian, Eddie Grmela, Scott Trowell, Kodey Keimig, Rex Adrian, David Suggs, Korey Keim, Kadale Kolar, Dale Wester, David Flanagan, Terry Trowell, Mike Marusak, Teddy White, Charlie Davidson, Terry White, David Clements, Alan Myers, Callie Lee, David Williams, Ron Golden and Tommy Hall...plus some 'invaders' are never out of the question.
Moving on to the Limited Modified division, the feature payback it is very solid, and is as follows: $600 - $400 - $300 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100 - $80 - $60...to start. All Limited Modified non-qualifiers will receive $30. There are no entry fees in this division and mufflers are not required. The feature is 20 laps.
The super-popular and drama-filled LoneStar Factory Stocks will also receive a handsome purse bump at the $ummer $izzler, again, without an entry fee or added pit pass cost. Their feature race payback is as follows: $400 - $300 - $200 - $180 - $160 - $140 - $120 - $100 - $80 - $60 - $60 - $40...to start. All Factory Stock non-qualifiers will receive $20. No mufflers are required.

Here are some quick facts for the Saturday July 23rd LoneStar Speedway event:
-Pits open at 4pm, Grandstands open by 6pm, LSS divisions Draw Cut off at 7pm, LSS Drivers Meeting at 7:10pm, Hot laps at 7:30pm and Racing at 8pm. Not that we may adjust hot lap times slightly, as in the summer we wait for the sun to go behind the grandstand so it is not hitting the track surface directly.
-General Admission just $15 (ages 12 to 64)
-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5
-Ages 5 and under admitted free with adult admission
- Military or Senior (Ages 65+) General Admission: $12
-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section for $5 per person
-All Pit Passes for all ages are $30
-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside; a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available
