Thought this would be fun to debate. I took the top 15 drivers with a chance to win the Kings Royal and gave them would-be Vegas odds. This is obviously just my own opinion but based on the odds you see, who would you be putting money down on?
I could take this a step further and come back and update the odds based on who is getting play from other posters, but we'll see how this goes first.

If you gave them would be Vegas odds, how did you decide what the odds were? Straight opinion, or is there some math equation involved? As I read it. this would show Kerry Madsen as being the favorite to win right now? And his chances are twice as good as Donnie Schatz?

Strictly my opinion. No mathmatical equation, just gave them odds based on how I feel they've been running and also took into account their past success at Eldora.
And yes, Madsen has the best odds of winning based off my initial betting line. So, if a bunch of posters respond and say the like their chances with Schatz at 7/1, then eventually we'd have to look at moving the line and bumping him to maybe 5/1 or 4/1, as an example, to correspond to the betting.

That's weird. It looks like only 1 driver from PA has ever won the race? Donnie Kreitz Jr.
It looks like PA has done as well as AZ, ND and all of Australia, but not as good as IN, OH, SD, TN, OK or CA. They do have HI, Ak and all of Canada and Namibia covered.
If past races are any indication, your best bet to win would be if your name was Kinser or Swindell, and you were from either Indiana, Tennessee or Ohio.
Tastes great / Less filling.

I do believe he said crew chief or power plant, not driver. Good reading comprehension.

You are correct. He did say crew chief or power plant. So you're agreeing with him that a crew chief or power plant from PA has a better chance of winning the King's Royal than a driver from PA?
Anybody have pertinant stats on which state stands out for the winningest wings and schocks?

Yes considering there is only going to be 2 pa drivers out there. Donny Schatz crew chief is from pa so right there is a fair enough chance.

Cubes is right, the one thing they don't produce is drivers capable of winning something this big, back in the day they all used to try but it was mostly a waste of time, kinda like what Florida has become for them or Knoxville, or Ohio, etc etc..

Every 30 years or so.....Or how about even a blind squirrel finds the odd acorn....Donnie wasn't a squirrel though and beat the Outlaws a bunch back in the day at the Grove when nobody else was, that was more impressive than his one time Kings Royal win.....

Let's see...
17 out of the 32 past winners had a first or last name that started with the letter "S"- Saldana, Schatz, Sides, Sweet, Swindell, Stewart and Steve.
97% of the last 32 past winners were active participants in the WoO.
I'm going with Logan Schuchart for the win.
