Today, some drivers use Facebook, twitter, websites, etc to post schedules or announce weekend racing plans. Other drivers stay off the internet or don't announce their plans.
This is had me thinking. What do you prefer? Do you like to know in advance where some top travelers are heading for the weekend or do you like to show up to the track and be surprised?
I love knowing in advance what kind of field I might expect and sometimes I go to a race just because I know there is going to be a good car count. on the other hand it's pretty cool to walk up to a track and see a car or hauler sitting there when you never exoected that driver to be there.

It's a personal choice, like finding out the sex of your child before it's born. Personally, I like to get an idea of who is going to be there if it's a bigger show. I scour driver websites & twitter to get info.
I like big fat, juicy, mouth watering car counts.

I definitely prefer to know who's going to be where. Living in Central Pa, we have a ton of options every weekend within a very small area so it's good to know which track will have the better field. From my experience, a better field equals a better show. And by better, I don't mean bigger. Strictly better quality. If I see Lincoln is going to have a better field on a given Saturday night, I'll go there instead of Port and vise versa. This weekend I'll be headed to Lincoln due to the fact that I think they'll have a better quality field. It's definitely helpful. I don't like to show up at a track that has a dismal field then see that most of the top teams are racing an hour up the road.

I think it's important for races like Cedar Lake. Friday, you know you have NSL support, Saturday is a crap shoot. The fact that Brown will be at Cedar Lake on Saturday is good to know for someone on the fence.

I'll be at the Kings Royal every year until they stop running it, regardless who is racing in it!

I am a fellow scourer as well. I try to find out what the bare minimum of cars that are going to be there. Then if anyone shows up that was unconfirmed it's just icing on the cake!

For those of us who have to travel long distance for sprint cars, knowing who's going to be there is ESSENTIAL
