Might as well ride the momentum to the Kings Royal on the 30th anniversary of Donalds win. ;(

Dream team is on a roll! Feel bad for McFadden, looked like Hod ran him up into the wall.

Pat has a broken ankle and foot due to a driveline problem. This happened two weeks ago at a Williams Grove. He had surgery just this past week. Highlands put James McFadden in the car for the Port Royal race. Started up front in the A and Hodnett got into him and ended his night. Really hope McFadden runs at WG and Port Saturday.

There was a tweet last night in refernce to McFadden replacing Cannon until he heals up from his misfortune at the Grove.
He was used up last night by Greg & is not 1 to give u much room on the track as he is a gasser himself & sometimes over his head type driver. Time will tell, but a quality ride may produce a win or 2 while in substitute position...

This is getting to be a pretty regular occurence with Hodnett. I used to respect him as a class act and clean racer but now I can't wait until someone gives it back to him. Since he's in the only money car left in central PA, maybe he feels he needs to win every race.

You are right HC...the 27 used up more competitors this year than I see happening with others...if he was an outspoken guy like DD people might be jumping all over him...instead, drivers are getting the picture and I guess they will have to handle it on the track.
running people up the track on the final lap for the win is one thing...driving that way on lap 3 after he saw the 69k blast from 7th to show his nose on lap 2 must have triggered panic.

I would say full time racers drive much different, especially when this was another $7,000 to win race, $3,500 for second. You also put additional money up for the Speedweek title. ($5,000 ? If all races are run). Add in the fact that McFadden is not a Central Pa. regular and didn't lift. I would guess many others would have knowing Greg's aggressive style and it also being too early in the race to not. I'm sure if Greg would have won he would have apologized in VL like he did earlier this year.

Yes, Hodnett saw the colors of the 69K and he knew he better get going. Poor James Mcfadden he was having a good night until Hodnett ran over him on the frontstretch. At least this time Hodnett was on the hook too. Every other time he has done this in the past he has come out basically unhurt. Not last night.....

And not a single one of the people bashing Hodnett would have the balls to go say what they have to say to his face. It was a racing deal and that's it. Driving a sprint car isn't easy despite what some people seem to thing. It's fast, it's furious, it's insanely intense and at those speeds, shit happens. Hodnett isn't a dirty driver and he's never been a dirty driver. He's a hell of a nice guy who we are lucky to have in Central Pa. He's one of sprint car racings greatest ambassadors. Fact is, people are sick of him winning all the time and due to the fact that he's one of the guys to watch, all eyes are constantly on him and the people who are looking for any reason to hate him are seeing what they want to see. That's OK. People will continue to boo just like they do with Schatz and just like Schatz does, he'll keep winning and even be kind enough to thank the fans for their support when he's in victory lane despite the fact that people are giving him shit.

No, I am tired of him wrecking other cars and him getting away clean. It didn't happen Thursday night. I for one am glad he got what he deserved. Hodnett hit McFadden in the nerf bar, that is why his car turned left so quickly.

Coming down?? If he doesn't steer left he eats the cement wall. A racing deal precipitated by an over aggresive move early in a 30 lap race. Shit happens & this time the culprit did not drive away as is the norm!!!!

Nothing new under the sun here...except people who think the guy belongs on a pedestal in spite of the obvious bonehead moves made just this year. the other drivers know they will get used up by the guy and have been vocal.
I know a fan who called it like it is to the 27 team...and got kicked out of VL for doing it.
its only insanely intense on lap 3 of a feature when a driver is in panic mode...been awhile since I heard BOOs like the Rahmer days, but the backstretch grandstand was filled with it last night at the Grove when his name was called over the PA.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint

Lance Dewease had a far better view of it than any of us and he called it a racing deal. I think I'll take his opinion over that of any person in the stands.

How come when something happens with Hodnett everybody yells and says he is roughriding, but when Deitrich says he took a lane that wasnt there and knocked his front end out of the way everybody laughs and cheers?
At Port like Lance said it was a racing deal Hodnett got caught in a sandwich and Lance was the only one that got away, three wide racing off the turn rarely turn out good!
Last night Mcfadden and Hodnett raced each other real hard for three laps and nothing happened.
I do not have a favorite driver but I never wear my beer googles when I watch a race.
