Trying to decide if I want to drive the 3 hours up to Beaver Dam or run 4 hours over to Eldora for what will be a healthy All Stars field? Anyone know what the car count will be like at Beaver Dam for the Outlaws Sat night? I like the track there as it always puts on a great race......I just don't feel like going up there if they won't even have enough cars to fill the A? The IRA hasn't really supported this race the last few years.
Thoughts?

The Outlaws and a couple local IRA guys. The only good car that is not an outlaw will be Bill Balog. Use to get a bunch of travlers untill the NSL started running at Knoxville the last 2 years on the same night. There could be 25-30 cars but not alot of vary good cars.

I'll guess 25-30 as well. Would be fine with anything in that range. I have seen it push close to 40 cars before--but that was a few years back. As long as I see a good show, I don't get too fussy about car counts--as long as there aren't 15 cars in the A.
Heading up tomorrow morning! Can't wait to see some dirt fly!

If anyone is interested, I have an extra campsite available 13 miles from the track at an excellent County park (ledge park in Horicon Marsh). I will check this thread again first thing in the morning. I can be reached by email through my profile on this website as well.

I love the outlaws but unless this is your only chance to see them all year, I'd go to eldora. More cars, Ohio speedweek has been outstanding as always this year.

You're correct. Since 1978, sprint car racing has been in a tailspin.
