Don't blame it all on Oshkosh. I agree 22 bucks to much , very windy although there seemed to be no track prep to speak of.
I am sure IRA has some imput as to what run's etc.
Was told by people in the pits that they were going to run Sprint Cars without IRA sanction on Sunday for teams who wanted to show up but it was shot down by Sinclair. Was also told many were going to run on Sunday.
Did not make it last weekend but heard it was 2 great nights of racing over very very early but also very very cold.
Last night at LaSalle was the worst mess I have seen in years.
Track very tacky in hot laps and qualifying lifting the front ends up and I even think a track record was broken. Very heavy cushion and we were primed for a great night on a tacky track.
They missed the first set of laps for Neitzel and Rienke. By our stop watch we had Neitzel and Rienke faster than Tatnell with Neitzel the fastest. Now this is probably not correct but interesting.
Then they go pack the top in and the heats roll out and it just turns into a dry slick dusty crap track in the very first heat race. All the cars would do is spin out.
The best part of the B was watching Goedon trying like hell to get back to a transfer spot.
The A started and you could not see across the track. What a joke!
Then after the 2nd try at it they start the race single file and there were zero laps yes that is right zero laps completed. Now this just turned me off period. Seen many of races take alot more than 2 starts to get it going. This is what we call racing folks time to get a clue.
I was at Charter for the last IRA race and was wondering how you can have almost 3 laps in and then go back to a straight up double file start. I just thought they were unable to score all the cars which is probably the case.
Was thinking about going to the All Star race in Mt Vernon and to tell you the truth we really should have. Shame on you IRA for letting this stuff happen.
Thanks to all the teams for giving us some exciting racing in 2007.
