Third TOMS Event This Saturday Night at Southern Oklahoma Speedway!

Ardmore, Oklahoma – May 31, 2016 – The third appearance for the Texas Outlaw Modified Touring Series (TOMS) at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma takes place this coming Saturday night, June 4. If the past two events are any indication, fans will once again be treated to some of the, competitive modified racing in the Texas/Oklahoma area.

When the TOMS last visited the racy 3/8th mile oval it back on May 7th it was Texas driver Tristyon Dycus out dueling Lawton, Oklahoma’s C.A. Nix for the hard-earned victory. The first appearance at the speedway for TOMS was won by Texas driver Colby Smith, who got the best of a thirty-three car field to claim his first series victory of the season. In fact, the night’s 30 lap feature finale saw five lead changes amongst three drivers with Smith leading the last ten laps. He would be the lone touring regular with two victories while Rodney Sanders and Chris Henigan having also visited victory lane with the series thus far this season.

Both TOMS events at Southern Oklahoma Speedway has seen an average car count of 34 and that car count is expected once again this Saturday night.

Also running will be the tracks hobby, stock car, sport mods and econo-mods as they resume their regular weekly point race action.

Gates open at 5:00 PM with races set for a 7:30 PM start time. Grandstand admission for this event is just $20 for ages 12 and up; ages 6-11 admission is $15 while all pit passes $30.

The Southern Oklahoma Speedway is located 0.7 mile east of I-35 (exit 29) on US 70, then 1.8 miles south on US 77. For more race and ticket information call 405-627-1766 or click www.southernoklahomaspeedway.com to visit the track's official website.
