Harvick will drive anything, as long as it has enough zeros and commas associated with it.

Kahne's been disillusioned with Nascar the past two years and almost walked away after last season. It's become so through the roof corporate that he's become less than happy (though I'm sure the huge paychecks help that attitude) with Nascar and Hendrick. The reason he's run more sprint car races this year is he went to Hendrick and told him he was doing it and if he had a problem then he was walking (I'm sure it was more involved then that, just simplifying the events). Compromise was he could run a handful of races on off weekends. Wouldn't shock me at all if Kasey is out of Nascar within next few years. He also showed desire to run the WoO tour at least once upon Nascar retirement.

Harvick has already stated he isn't going anywhere multiple times. Who comes up with this stuff?

Nascar has been "through the roof corporate" since before Kasey got his first ride. The main reason that Kasey will be out of Nascar shortly is that he hasn't really been relevant in a number of years. It won't be because he's taking a stand against corporate America. (I feel like I am on a Rage Against the Machine fan forum instead of a sprint car forum sometimes with all of the hype over corporations) I would think Hendrick would love the opportunity to cut ties with him the first chance he gets so he can fill the seat with an up and comer. I don't think he walked in and told Hendrick to "kiss his ass" or anything like that because I think Rick would have sent him packing. Kasey was very good for a number of years but has really not produced lately--and it has nothing to do with corporations.
That all being said, it would be fantastic to get him back into a sprinter. As long as some could handle the fact that a Nascar fan or two might actually show up at the track with a Pepsi or Miller shirt--God forbid!

Harvick debunked this rumor on his Twitter. One of his comments. "Bunch of people making up sh** again".

Yeah I also don't think he told Rick to kiss his rump but he did have a conversation with him. Also remember Kasey is a good ambassador with strong ties to his current sponsors so each was in a position of strength. I never said NASCAR wasn't already corporate just that Kasey was tired of it. He had/has to make an appointment to go to his team garage just to see or touch his car or talk to his team.

No matter what the reasoning, he would likely enjoy travelling in a sprint car rather than a Sprint Cup car

No doubt and it'd be pretty sweet to see him do it from a fan perspective also.

Harvick just signed a long term extension with Stewart-Haas today so all you guys powering the rumor mill can stand down. Nothing to see here any longer.

I am positive DeLana and Kevin are grateful to all the individuals who started and spread this rumor. The contract extension with SHR probably cost FoMoCo and SHR a ton of money, all going to the Kevin and DeLana Harvick retirement account.
