When everyone is qualifying in the top 16 within a few tenths what makes the difference if the fastest qualifier starts on the pole or 4th. Everyone is so close it really doesn't matter. How many times last year was the heat race won off the pole versus this year, I would guess pretty much the same. Personally I like that guys can improve their starting position or even get in the dash from running hard in the heat race. I think it has made the racing better through the field come feature time. I am starting to really warm up to the new format.

It's a great format and the fairest format if the track is wide enough in the heats to pass. If not, it makes time trials even more important.

up until now, the biggest issue I heard about from disenfranchised fans at the Grove was NO PIZZA on the backstretch...

screw the inverts...bring back pepperoni!
