Hope everyone noticed that Port Royal  is offering  this weekend  for  $ 60.00  , what a deal  , plenty of giveaways, $10.00 camping and RV spaces on first come basis , gates open early , which should make for a good weekend . Hope everyone  attends .

Has Port Royal done anything to try to up the car count for the weekend with Lincoln running Saturday Deitrich will be the only Lincoln car to run all three nights, and no All Stars or Outlaws since they are running elsewhere.

Lets hope it works out the last few years this has been one of the areas premier events ,would be a shame if they did not get any support with the purse they are paying.

port had 36 cars 2 weeks ago. Lincoln raced. No allstars or outlaws there. No issue with cars. If new grandstand isn't halfway open, maybe issue with sitting. Get there early

"36" cars...at least 8 of them were 360s

Please inform us as to which cars ran 360's that night. I was there and thought most of the extra cars ran pretty good.

Selinsgrove was rained out so Mark Smith, Jason Schultz,Mike Walter, and Justin Barger all would have been at Selinsgrove plus the Shusters and Five cars from Western Pa. because Mercer rained out and two or three of the Lincoln back markers that thought they could easily qualify since Port only had 16 cars the previous week.

Last two years Weikert race drew over 40 cars and had drivers like Brad Sweet,Tim Keading come in as non All Stars.

Its a great weekend for the Port regulars but if i remember Bob he liked most any speedway when his car was winning

Examples Weld ,Wolfgang,Pitzer.

I also believe Hodnett,Wolf and Marks were At Lincoln that night for an extra purse race. And I am sure some of those others cars ran 410's that night.

Not sure how Hodnett was at Lincoln while he was winning at Port. I know he's good but DAMN!!  Not to mention Lucas finished 4th that night. Plus you guys thinking that the Selinsgrove cars ran those motors are idiots. Mark Smith did not run fifth with a 358/360 in his car.  Most of those guys that run both Port & Selinsgrove have motors to do such at each track. Otherwise they'd be wasting their time.  And the only Selinsgrove guys that made the feature were Cannon (not even Selinsgrove this year) and Smith. A handful of the cars were from western Pa and were most certainly 410's. It amazes me how Port haters spew so much crap while not really knowing the facts. Only because they hate the Speed Palace so much. But keep the dumb posts coming, they are hilarious.

Should be a great weekend!  Plan to wear a Wolfgang & Kenny Jacobs t-shirt that weekend.  Would wear my Kauffman #29 shirt, but it's on its last thread so no can do.  Just wish I had a Bobby Davis Jr. #29 shirt!!

My fear is that the Grove races Friday night, then 3 straight days at Port.  I don't think the cars are going to come on Monday for a $4,000 to win finale after running for 10G the night before.  With drivers and crews going back to work Tuesday, after an already long weekend of racing, I think Monday will be a flop.  I hope I'm wrong.  I think they should've just stuck with a 2 day show paying 10G on Sunday night.  I also agree with an above post that without All Star support, the car counts could be lower than expected.

Steelcity guy I am not a Port Royal hater in fact right now it is my favorite track in the East, but I would sooner drive five hours like I did last week to Lernerville to see a good race.

Reason I am concerned about car count the week before Port only had 16 cars,THE NIGHT THEY HAD 36 THEIR WERE 6 SELINSGROVE CARS THERE MARK SMITH HAS BOTH A 410 AND A 360 SAME WITH JUSTIN BARGER but both would have been at the 360 race if not for rain.

Jim Shuster,Mallie Shuster,Mike Walter and Jason Schultz were 360's and will most likely run with URC SUNDAY

There were also five cars from Mercer and three Lincoln cars that had not been making the show that decided to switch tracks.

I believe that Port Royal will get the support from teams and fans , it will be a great weekend for fans. Also the purse is raised on Monday for the 410's to $5,000 and now the URC 360 purse has climbed to $3,000 . It was Mr. Weikert's idea to race 3 days , is what I am told . The lower car count the one weekend was due to Lincoln , and other tracks running higher purse races , so some of the drivers went to those higher paying races . While everyone has there favorite tracks, and it has been proven the smaller tracks provide better 410 racing,  it is also quite obvious that the management at Port Royal is doing more at there facility , as is Susquehanna but the facility alone doesn't make good racing .
