It is getting late and Garrett Hansen and Tyler Brown appear to be the front-runners in this year's Rookie of the Year award. Both drivers have been very competitive. Who is your choice?

I would choose Garrett Hansen. If I remember correctly, he has run more races than Tyler Brown this year (though I could be wrong). Also, he has a feature victory. I would be interested to know what their respective average feature finishes are.

Good eye tripcrwn; heres some very unofficial stats for you. Tyler has been in 19 mains and Garrett 16 this year. Average finish for tyler in those 19 races is 12.0, average finish for Garrett is 11.5. Average heat race race finish for Tyler is 4.1, average heat race finish for Garrett is 3.7 and Garrett has alittle better qualifying average also. At this point Garrett looks like he might have the edge by the end of the year. However, Garrett has to step it up some. The last six races his average finish in the main is 11.3 while Tyler has put together 6 top tens in a row with an average finish of 6.5. Take this current trend with an 87 point cushion and at this point it might be advantage Tyler. Is this going to be fun to watch or what ?.

And both drivers are now driving for someone else, Hansen in Priestly's blue #7 and Brown in Crossno's red sprinter. Both are very competitive rides. Its to bad Luis Espinosa got such a late start as he would have made things interesting in the Sertich sprinter. Great fun watching!

I can remember a night in Hanford, earlier this year, when Tyler Brown gave Kruseman all he could handle. I'll take Tyler Brown.
