I just checked the Eldora website to see the support class for the 3 night Kings Royal weekend and they have nothing listed.
Does this mean they pulled the 360 shows from the program?
I hope so as the event is big enough that you don't need a support class slowing down the ngiht. You look at the Kville Nationals, National Open and other big 410 shows and they are stand alone events.

Interesting. It's not on the NRA schedule either. Just a May show and the Sprintacular in October for NRA at Eldora.

No support class and I agree. No need to have one.

I think with the new 3 day show and increased purse, they are assuming more cars.

Think they did that when the Royal was televised once or twice & there was some down time. Go ahead & blow you're money. Alot of times they put on the show but some never seen it through there 410 only eyes.

Agree they put on a show, but save it for another time.

Any guesses on how many cars will show up? I'm attending for the first time. I'd guess at least 60 cars but that is just a guess. The Big E is pumping $ into all its big shows this year with the increase in pay for both big late model weekends as well as the Kings Royal. I'm primarily a late model fan but the purse increase intrigued me enough to buy tickets.

I think 60 cars might be a stretch, it could happen but I'd guess 45-50. Either way there will be 24 to start the A and their won't be many surprises.

Back in the late 90's the 360's often had a better feature. Tim Allison in his prime was something to see there, but the track was a much different shape with more banking. Joey Saldana was often worth the price of admission there running against the fence, Sammy had some great runs there also.....

The past few years it has seemed that the 360s have not really been needed. I like the NRA sprints and they typically put on a good show but I do not think the Kings Royal has ended before Midnight or 1am in the past 5-6 years. I do not mind staying that late because I love racing but I remember taking Brother about 5years ago and all he did was complain about how long it was taking. I said then I am not going with anyone who does not enjoy this ever again. Last year when the rain came and it did not start till after 1am even I said to myself if they were to cut the 360s from the program I would be fine with it. I agree with aschmies_w20, all they did was hurt the track and save it for another time. The Kings Royal feature might be better without all of the extra racing on it and I think 60cars is not a stretch this year. They had about 40-45 this past Friday and Saturday and if you add in a few of the midwest plus a few more Local and Posse stragglers, 60 is possible.
