Actually McCarl is under contract with the WoO as a Platinum driver until May when Badlands begins the season. He claimed truck trouble as to why he wasn't in Texas. He can't race anywhere else without permission from the WoO until the contract expires. It will be interesting to see if the truck is repaired so he can make the WoO races Tuesday and Friday of this week.

Don't want to get into a pissing match but he posted on Facebook that the turbo or something on the truck was giving them problems so they wouldn't be with the Outlaws this weekend. Saw him helping Austin through my binocs at Knoxville. That's the only facts I have and I hope that answers your question.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Looked to me that Austin was working out of Terry's trailer. I don't know what truck they had pulling it though. Terry and Carson were both there helping Austin.

Not sure what reason he would have to fabricate a reason to miss a WoO race. If he's contracted with the WoO, that deosn't mean he can't skip a WoO race or two, he just can't race anywhere else. Just my thought, for what it's worth.
