If you don't like dust, don't go to a dirt track. Simple as that. Dust or no dust, Selinsgrove always produces the best racing when the track is on the slick side and the guys who know how to set up the car right and the drivers who are best at driving and not just putting it to the floor, will come forward. Same as Port Royal and even Williams Grove. I think I've only ever seen Selinsgrove rubber up one time which is more than can be said for many other tracks. The race this Sunday will be a good one. Will it be dusty? Probably will be considering that the surface is DIRT. Even if it isn't a good race, I'd still rather be there with good friends having fun. A bad day at the races is always better than a good day at work or damn near anything else in the world. Hopefully they get a good turnout of fans and cars.

Somtimes you make a funny post,  this is not one of those times. You need to try harder, Why would any out of towner wear a Rine shirt when they probably never heard of him? Why are you bringing up a late model driver in a thread about the Allstars at Selinsgrove?  As far as I know all of the victims of the the Rine t shirt massacre lived, so your spreading false information. Chances are you will be beaten to a bloody pulp but the Selinsgrove fans are nice enough to let you live if you wear a Rine shirt, so ignore The Wussards public service announcement above nobody will actually be killed.

As Bob Weikert said many of times in victory lane over the years.  Selinsgrove is the Knoxville of the East.  I heard that many, many times when he visited victoty lane at Selinsgrove.

No one is taking shots at any track.  Besides you!  Just saying what Bob said in victory lane when he won at Selinsgrove.    Everytime I traveled to Knoxville it was great racing.

Couldn't agree more. Dry slick produces the best racing. I never understood people who go to dirt tracks and then complain about the dust. I find that to be a unique and charming aspect of the sport. Real dirt fans like to get dirty.

Your not that bright are you? Let me explain, when you are an ambassador for a sport it's not a title you give yourself. Even someone recognized as an ambassador for sprintcar racing (Brad Doty) would never say "I'm an ambassador of Sprintcar racing",

People will recognize you as an ambassador because of your vast knowledge, your service to the sport with no expectation of anything in return, and your total respect for the sport and anyone associated with sport.

Obviously you have vast knowledge, hell no one even asks and you are constantly blessing us with your knowledge. So you got the first one. Service to the sport, other than babbling on here, the only thing you have ever given to sprintcar racing is a reason to not to come to Pa to watch a race for fear of meeting you or someone like you. So you failed on the second part.

Respect for the sport, what can I say, the only thing you respect is Lincoln, and it's a great track but it ain't the only track. So you failed the third part.

I certainly hope that was clear enough of an explanation. I called you an ambassador as a sarcastic back handed insult and your too dumb to get my insult, please dont make me explain sarcasm to you.

Any other comments?

I will stick with my original comment - you made it up

Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

What happened to the old days when everyone attacked Bob Altmans posts together? Everyone is just against each other now. Kudos to Altman for finding away off the chopping block.

I guarantee that you have been to more races that started later than the advertised start time than exactly on time....just saying...

Does it really matter? I love being at the track. Why the hell would I be in a hurry to get home? Being at the races with friends and family having fun is definitely not something I'm in a hurry to walk away from. Sure there's a line there and there's reasons both acceptable and unacceptable for a track to start later than advertised but I'm not going to bitch about it as long as it's not 2 hours or something for no good reason. Even on a work night I don't really care. I'll sleep when I'm dead.

Worth repeating....again

And, I think it was Doug Wolfgang who called it the "Knoxville of the East"

13 All Star full-time members: Dale Blaney, Chad Kemenah, Kraig Kinser, Cap Henry, Sheldon Haudenschild, Danny Holtgraver, TJ Michael, Lee Jacobs, Caleb Helms, Andrew Palker, Caleb Armstrong, Kory Crabree & Brad Howard.

Tim Shaffer then is pretty much race to race in the Rudzik car, NY's Joe Kubiniec is supposed to run a lot of the All Star races, and Ryan Smith did all 3 last weekend and will run the 2 this weekend.

Shaffer is in the buch 13 starting this weekend. running a handfull of shows. not sure where the Rudzik car fits in

I don't know about Doug.  But I do remember Mr Weikert saying that many of times in victory lane at Selinsgrove.

The gates have opened and the pits are already starting to fill up. Whether they start on time or not, it's gonna be a great show tonight. If you have the need for speed, this is the place to see a race.
