Now, the two brands that really stumped me when I was in the market were the Kelty Backpack Child Carriers, and the Deuter Backpack Child Carriers. I really had a tough time deciding between the two, and although I've already made my decision, I thought it best to at least share my research with you. Kelty Backpack Child Carriers Kelty has come a long way. They recently north face uk introduced two new Kelty Child Carriers to the market that are extremely impressive. The Kelty Pathfinder 3.0 and north face denali jackets the Kelty Journey 2.0. If you are a serious outdoor enthusiast, one that enjoys a full day of backpacking or hiking, maybe even an overnight trip, then I'd have to suggest the Kelty Pathfinder 3.0 Backpack Child Carrier. It has plenty of storage, with one large zippered compartment below the cockpit seat big enough for a sleeping bag, as well as a zip-off day pack with two zippered pockets of its own. It also offers a total of 3 mesh water bottle pockets, and has hydration pack storage built in behind the back panel. It's extremely comfortable for both the wearer, and the rider. It offers curved, padded north face fleece shoulder straps, and a contoured, padded waist belt. It also offers plenty of adjustments, including the sliding torso-adjuster that adjusts quickly and easily. The Kelty Journey 2.0 Backpack Child Carrier has less storage. It does not come with a zip-off daypack, north face outlet but it has everything else, including the rain/sun hood. Both the Kelty Journey 2.0 and the Pathfinder 3.0 are capable of carrying up to 50 pounds load weight. What makes these two backpack child carriers special is the auto-deploy kickstand feature. The kickstand will automatically deploy once you loosen the shoulder straps, and north face clearance likewise, it collapses once you tighten the shoulder straps. Now that is just plain cool! Deuter Kid Comfort Backpack Child Carriers The Deuter line of backpack child carriers are in my opinion, TOP of the line. The two most popular ones on the market, designed specifically for hiking, are the Deuter Kid Comfort III and the Deuter Kid Comfort II. These two Deuter Backpack Child Carriers offer everything that the Kelty Child Carriers offer, including plenty of storage, hydration pack storage, padded cockpit seats, and padded waist belts and shoulder straps. What makes the Deuter Backpack Child Carriers so special is that they offer a locking kickstand for added safety, and they have side entry for the cockpit. What this means is that instead of having to lift your little one above the seat to fit them into the cockpit, you simply unclip the side wing and they can practically load themselves. Now, this is actually true. I have a Deuter Kid Comfort II, and my daughter will literally load herself into the seat. It's quite handy! The Deuter Backpack Child Carriers also offer a little thing called the Vari-flex waist belt. It pivots in the center, so as you walk, the waist belt moves north face jackets outlet with your body. Plus, these backpack child carriers also have something called load adjuster straps. This means that you can position the load, aka your child and gear, to where it's most comfortable on your back. Now, the Deuter Kid Comfort III comes with additional back support and a built in sun/rain shade. The Deuter Kid Comfort II does not. You have to purchase the sun/rain shade separately, which kind of stinks, but it's totally worth north face coats it.
