a little bit upset over the cutting of tons

Danzig was supposed to perform songs from his solo catalog, Samhain’s and The Misfits’. But with a 10 p.m. curfew and Danzig taking the stage almost an hour late, the final set of songs — Misfits songs, the stuff the guy’s best known for — got the axe. Danzig played two Misfits songs with no apology to the audience for a late set and implied that a riot was in order to keep the set going. So, after hearing some fans were a little bit upset over the cutting of tons of Misfits song, indie-rock hero Ted Leo treated Fun Fun Fun Fest’s audience to a surprise mini-set of Misfits songs. Leo stepped off the stage after saying he felt cold — an intentional jab at Danzig — and came back in full-on Danzig garb. The band, which was made up of Andy Nelson and members of the Misfits tribute band TV Casualty, played a four-song set that included “Where Eagles Dare,” “Bullet,” “Angelfuck” and “Skulls.”Check out Leo channeling his inner Danzig at Fun Fun Fun Fest below courtesy GrimX5’s YouTube page. The Roots have always been known for their unexpected collaborations, but this one takes the cake. As the buzz around the new concept album undun grows, in a recent interview with SPIN, Roots drummer ?uestlove mentioned that Sufjan Stevens’ song “Redford” influenced the identity of the album’s main protagonist, Redford Stevens.
