As you can see in the photo below, the sneakers feature a black upper built from a mixture of rubberized leather, perforated leather and suede, in addition to a small amount of horse hair. Grey accents the signature Asics arches, green highlights the Gel Sage embroidery on the quarter panel, and red coats the tongue, heel tag and eyelets. White x’s on the laces add to the uniqueness of the shoe while the color compliments the lining and midsole. Keep it locked to Sneaker Obsession for release information and lets us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
Additional details include a graphic of a Corona Extra bottle under a translucent outsole and a patch of a Corona cap stitched on the inside of the tongue. The coolest thing though may just be the lime wedge hang tag, which doubles as a bottle opener. Unfortunately, for Supra fans and sneaker collectors alike, the sneakers were doled out at the event to friends and family and will not be released to the public. With that being said, enjoy the photos below.
Sneakerheads born in the 80?s and earlier are sure to remember the Nike Air Force 1 “Jewel” from the mid 90?s. What made the AF1 “Jewel” unique from the standard Air Force 1 was that it featured a smaller, jewel-like Swoosh that glistened in the light. Myself as well as other Air Force 1 fanatics have been requesting that Nike bring back the Air Force 1 “Jewel” and it looks like they’re finally going to make it happen.
