I'm from Eastern Kansas and I'm basically considered an old-timer.

I'm  interested in obtaining recollections about the late Harvey Shane, who was a well-known driver in the 1950s and 1960s. I understand he died in 1991 at Bartlesville, Okla.

Was he involved in a fatal race track accident at Coffeyville or Tulsa before retiring as a driver? If so, does anyone remember the location and date?
