The 2016 Air Jordan Retros Horizon is Jordan Brand’s evolution of the Air Jordan Future. While it hasn’t generated quite as much buzz as the latter sneaker, the Horizon has gotten some interesting renditions for NBA All-Star Weekend and Black History Month. This next version of the Air Jordan Horizon looks to be the most high-class version yet. The shoe dons a murdered out look this time around, with the only non-black accent colors appearing on the shoe’s sole. The one piece upper is entirely crocodile pattern, although we’ll have to wait for the official product details from Jordan Brand on whether the material is actually crocodile skin. The shoe sits on a slightly modified Air Jordan 13 sole, which is also in black suede and rubber. We’ll keep you updated on any release details for this sneaker, but are you feeling these early pictures? The Cheap Jordans 2016 store, a site to behold with its collection of sneakers, rare Jordan memorabilia, and an upstairs court, is already basically a landmark in the city where Jordan won six NBA titles. You'd think that alone would make for a perfect 30th birthday present for the brand, but there was so much more that made this the biggest year for Air Jordan yet. It shouldn't surprise anybody that a store dedicated to Jordan would get such a response in Chicago, but it wasn't just people from the Windy City waiting in line. Some came from as far as Buffalo and Austin to get their hands on limited edition Air Jordans to either wear, or, as a few admitted, to turn around and sell for a huge markup. Most of them got what they came for, be it something with the Jumpman logo on it, or at least got an autograph from Bull guard Jimmy Butler or Bears receiver Alshon Jeffrey, the new generation of Chicago all-stars wearing the famous Jordan logo on their feet. At the very least, whether they realized it or not, they were taking part in a year-long celebration of the famous sneaker's 30th anniversary, and the year that Air Jordan, maybe even more than its parent brand Nike, proved once again that no other sneaker brand really comes close. On Feb. 12, Jordan Brand will release the Jordan For Girls, the 30th signature model in the Air Jordan line. The first Air Jordan came out more than 30 years ago and its legacy endures to this day. But which Jordan sneaker is the best of the best? To help with that, we brought in an expert: Chad Jones, aka "Sneaker Galactus." Jones has a collection of more than 1,000 pairs of sneakers, has been featured in the BATA Shoe Museum, and had part of his collection exhibited in Brooklyn during 2015's NBA All-Star Weekend. The Air Jordan 17+ "Copper" was originally released back in 2002, and now Jordan Brand is set to bring them back this April 2016, along with another Air Jordan 17 colorway. Dressed in an orignal color scheme of White, Metallic Copper Coin, Black, and Sport Blue. The shoe features an all-White leather constructed upper that includes a premium crocodile emboss detail on the back end of the shoe. Other details include Sport Blue hints and Copper accents throughout.
